Heart Rates: By Eternal Silence

As most or all of you know, we are introducing a Relationship system into the Harvest Moon Worlds RP. Some of you have already tried out the Black Heart or Friendship events, and that’s great!


First, the actual heart rates explanation.

HEART RATES

Everyone you meet starts out on the lowest level, black. From there, you can either make friends with the person…or maybe not. Friendship isn’t for everyone.

There is eight heart levels: Black, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink, and Red.


Indifference.

Acquaintances.

Friends.

Good Friends.

Close Friends.

Best Friends/Crush (best friends for either gender, crush for someone of the opposite gender)

Family/Dating (an extremely close friend, a family member, or someone that you're dating)

Love


The highest level you can reach with a person of the same gender is Orange, which is the Best Friends level with friendship.

The highest level you can reach with a person of the opposite gender is Red. This is the Love level, and also a requirement to reach before you marry that person.

If you have a family member in the RP ((maybe your two characters are related to one another)), they are automatically at the Pink heart, which is Family, unless you want it to be lower because of the relationship between the characters.

ADVANCING HEART RATES

Well, now, obviously, you can't just RP with a person one time and go immediately from a black heart to a green one. Relationships take time, and in the RP, it's no exception.

So how do you raise the heart level of the person you like? It's simple, really. When you have 2 reserved RP topics with one person, the heart rate for that person goes up one level. So if Little Susie Jenkins RPed twice with Billy Bob in two reserved topics, her heart rate would go from Black to Purple for Billy Bob.

This is the only way to raise heart levels.

Mods will be watching the RP, so please don't race through the heart levels, just to get married. If the mods catch you going through the Heart Rates too fast, we'll reset the entire thing so that all of your relationships are back to a black heart. No exceptions.

HEART EVENTS


There are five heart events for each relationship:

Black
Purple
Blue
Yellow
Pink

If you are at a Black level with a particular person, you can experience the Black Heart Event. If you are at the Purple Heart level, you can see both the Purple Heart event and the Black heart event.

So basically, you have to be at the level of the event OR HIGHER to experience the event.

Events must be at least three days apart from each other. You can't set up a black heart event on Tuesday, and then do the two Reserved topics on Wednesday and expect to do the Purple Heart event after that.

RECORDING HEART LEVELS

Recording your affection levels for different people is easy. It will be recorded as a seperate post under your character's profile, like a Journal.

Record Heart Events like normal in your Journal, and then, when you've met the requirements to move up a level, you can record it in your Heart Rates.

To record a Heart Rate, just put the name of the other character by the color of the appropriate heart.
