Fuh-f-f-freezing!

So... Cold...


Mia staggered through the winds; snow beating against her skin. The biting cold was starting to take it's toll on her.
Now that she thought about it; it was pretty stupid to go jumping about in the Jungle when it was so bogged with so much snow she could barely see.
She hadn't even brought a jacket.

So, through the wind and snow she trudged; feeling awfully tired and exhausted.

He had ventured out on a hunch.

There was something that just made his feet make the journey across the town, over the bridge, through the winding curves of the snow-crested forest...and for a girl who wasn't even promised to be there.

But his gut instinct was nagging at him, and so he pushed through underbrush that slapped him in the face and slingshot flecks of snow in his direction. He shivered, and pulled his coat a bit closer to his body. It was a frigid day out, one of the coldest of the season. By all logic, he should be inside, drinking a warm cup of cocoa.

"Mia? Are you out here?" he called.

"Stupid weather," Kitty muttered under her breath and watched the little cloud it formed in the air dissappear. She thought the jungle of all places would remain warm year-round, since tropical climates don't experience winter, but apparently this place was not quite an actual jungle. She bit her lip staggering through the cold thinking about heading back to town and checking out the cafe. Something warm to eat and drink did sound really nice right now to her.

She looked up and saw a figure or two, she couldn't tell because the snow messed up her vision some. "Hello?" she said in a questioning tone, hoping she wasn't talking to just a couple of small trees.

Through the biting winds; Mia was sure she had heard something...
"Helloooo?" She called, squinting through the snow.

She had goosebumps all over her; snow lightly coating her arms and face, even laced into her hair. She longed for the warmth of her cosy little Inn room...
Ughh, I have to get out of here...

Chase promptly bumped into someone. Now, he was confused. He had distinctly heard Mia's voice...and someone else's, whom he recognized, but couldn't quite put a finger on it. It was snowing harder now, and the flurry made it hard to tell who he'd run into. "Mia?" he questioned, reaching out to put his hands on her shoulders. He could tell it was, in fact, Mia- the length of her hair just brushed up against his knuckles as he reached for her. As usual, he wasn't wearing a jacket.

"What are you doing out here?" He wanted to yell, but kept his voice down so to keep the anxiety of the situation at bay. However, he was all too aware of the blizzard warning that had sounded earlier that morning.

"There's someone else out here, Mia," he said, looking around. "We've got to find her, and get out of here. Quick." He grabbed her hand and started through the snow.

Though quite startled by his sudden appearance; Mia was certainly happy to see Chase.
Well, what she could see through the snow, anyway.

It was becoming painfully clear that she snow was getting harder. It was hard to distinguish the ground from the skies; and she could only just see the dark figures of trees.
Mia carefully followed Chase; supressing a spark of panic in her chest. She'd never encountered a snow-storm before, and she had no clue of what to do.

She simply hoped Chase did, following nervously behind him.

Chase, not letting go of Mia or letting her out of his limited sight, shrugged out of his coat and handed it to her. "Put this on, now," he commanded. "You'll freeze to death. Haven't you ever heard of a blizzard?' He pulled her a little harder, closer to him. "Stay close. Hold on to me," he directed. "We need to find the other person who's out here, and we need to do it fast. Start yelling."

He glanced around, and started to call, "Hello? Hello! Is anyone out here?"

For a moment Kitty thought she was just yelling at a cold motionless tree, but then she swore she saw something move. Then before long she heared yelling too. The cold winds made it impossible for her to determine who, but at least she wasn't yelling at something. Gradually she made her way dragging her feet through the snow getting closer and closer to the people. For a moment she almost tripped, but she quickly regained her balance and made the rest of the trip. "You okay?" she said shivering.

"Kitty!" Now, Chase had to yell just to be heard over the wind. He was happy to recognize her, but didn't linger on that emotion for long. His fight-or-flight instincts were kicking in, and he didn't particularly care to get into a battle with Mother Nature. He would always lose.

"Kitty, grab Mia's arm," he instructed, leading Kitty to Mia and practically thrusting them together. "Hurry!" He squinted up at the gray sky, and shuddered. Though he had layers on, he was starting to become numb from the severe cold and wind chill on top of it. They had to get out of the forest, and soon, or they would be human icicles in the next ten minutes.

"Hurry," he repeated, urging them on.

Kitty dragged her feet in the cold next to a total stranger. Chase was leading the trio throughout the storm in a way Kitty could never picture him. At the moment though she could care less and the only thing registering in her head was her deep hatred for the cold weather. The cold wind stung her dry eyes making small tears form on her lids stressing her for time. "How much farther?" she yelled hoping her eyes wouldn't freeze. "How much farther?"
