Maybe it's me?

I'm feeling kinda bad that I don't know nothing about Harvest Moon. I never played any of the games as well.

*waits for all the screams to happen*

I do recall one of my friends talking to me about it though for about 3 hours straight but it just flowed out my ear. xD.

I guess I can ask if anyone could get me allocate any details from it? o.o

(Starting to feel bad posting only in the "General" only area. xD)

Aww, I did play Harvest Moon... Like... A few games. I don't know too much about them pfffft

Don't worry about it too much. Somone on the staff doesn't know that much about it either. ;]

Its basicaly a simulation game where your character has to save the town they live in or the 'Harvest Godess' (protector of the land) by using farming and befriending the villigers.

That's the main point of it, but your character can also get married and have a family.

o.o. I felt a slight chill run down my spine. xD. Lol. I thought it would be nice to get a bit of background info about the games so I could *cough* RP but then again, I only RPed once for around a month and then it went poof.

So yeah, it doesn't really matter if you've played Harvest Moon or not, but it's always nice to have the background information. ;D

don't worry..i only played 3 HM games and they are have the same characters..but i do know many about Harvest Moon..this forum isn't just for Harvest Moon..it's for everyone!so you can freely join and be active..don't be afraid to express yourself..SHOW YOUR TRUE YOU!

Pretty much what Kitty said. :3 It's generally targeted towards younger girls, and that's why the majority of the members on HD are female and between the ages of ten and fifteen.

However, you don't have to know anything about the game, really. The Harvest Moon aspects around HD are optional, really - the RP and the game help or comments forum are just a portion of what we have to offer here. For example, I know Sanaka doesn't play the games, and she generally hangs out around the Graphics and Art board.

They're fun games, in my opinion, but you needn't worry if you haven't played any. xD

As a side note, I think the largest appeal of this game is the get-married-and-have-kids aspect. Which is why it's most popular with the demographic I mentioned. But that's not the entirety of the game, especially not Rune Factory. That one deals with monsters and things like that, and it's more action than simulation.

I haven't created an RP character either yet, I think I should though... Anyway, everyone basically covered it. And we're all totally fine commenting with you or whatever. Harvest Moon is an awesome game and if you have any questions about any of the games (besides Rune Factory) go ahead and PM me. I've put a lot of time into my obsession, trust me! Haha

I'm more obsessed with the Rune Factory games and played some of Harvest Moon. Not like we gotta play them all. You're a different sort of gamer, right? Are you a hardcore stategy or a Left4Dead kind of guy?

I'm actually a RPG/Fighting gamer. Lol. I'm also a Strategy fan. I should say I'm pretty much an all-around gamer.
