Breeding ^^

In just about a half an hour, my doggy--purebread Golden Retriever named Holly-- is going to start the process of being a mom! Haha, I won't go into detail. The daddy is a friend from school's dog named Jasper, he too is a purebread GR! This is our first time ever breeding a dog and we hope all goes well! Its funny because its just in time for Valentines Day! Anyway, we're hoping that in about two months, we're going to have little puppies around the house!

Anyone ever breeding any animal before?

Hahaa, she is such a cutie. I haven't bred my dogs (they're both spayed - partly for their health and partly for my sanity), but my uncle is the one who gave me my golden retriever. His dog, Mo (he has a mohawk, completely natural. I love it, but sadly the mohawk was not inherited by my dog) sired a litter around Christmas three years ago, and the dogs were born and ready to be taken home two days before my birthday.

I got pictures of her growing up, and when the time came (the general rule of breeding, if the father isn't your dog, you give the owner of the father a puppy or two), I picked my dog out and went to go get her.

Aww she's so cute! Reminds me of my old doggy! Right now... I'm not sure how well everything is going. I think she likes him more than he likes her. Haha, all fingers crossed we get puppies soon! A lot, and I mean a lot of money went into this.

ES, I'ma be your new neighbor. Snow for four weeks in a row (different days) is too much for me.

Haha. ^^ It's not exactly beach weather down here, but it's not snowing. It's been down in the 30s-50s lately. But it usually warms up by the middle of the day. And then it gets cold again. >.<

We have no warm clothes! My closet is tank tops and tee shirts. I have a couple of sweatshirts, but not many.

10 degree weather is not my forte, Bubbles. >.>

In about two months eh? That's not too far away. Show us those puppies when they get here.

I will! Believe it or not, she's starting to show signs that she's pregnant. I don't know how many puppies she'll have though--she was a litter of 12 and her "husband" was a little of 13 xD

My dog is from a litter of six. It was the first litter that the mom had. The second litter (also sired by my uncle's dog) had a few more puppies in it... I want to say something like eight?
