Valentines Day... Alone again?

Red sighed quietly and sat herself down on the ledge of the pond.
It seemed so quiet at the Goddess's Pond today; everyone else was out having Valentines celebrations.

Red had been too shy to even talk to the person she... Liked. Despite her best efforts to push her courage the night before.
She had made a pie out of freshly harvested apples from the woods, but she paid no attention to it's inviting scent wafting up from her basket.

What was I thinking... No man would tolerate me anyway. she thought, mentally slapping herself.

Fox Poofs onto the trail, hoping she poofed into the right place
"HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, RED!" she yells with delight and gives her a valentines basket

"Wah!" Red yelped from surprise, almost falling into the water.
"Oh, Hello Fox" she panted breathlessly.
"Huh? Oh, Thankyou, Fox!" Red took the basket with a curious smile.

"Who else has gotten one of these?" Red asked, thinking that with Fox's generousity she would be giving several out today.

"Oh, Sorry, Red, didn't mean to sneak up on you like that."
Fox frowns and bites her bottom lip, but snaps out of it
"Actually, your the first person. I Made A Basket for almost everyone in town, but nobody seems to be in town today..hrmm..."

"Ah, thought so" Red smiled.
"Hmmm... Have you tried looking in the Inn? I could have sworn I heard some Valentines Day celebrations in there..." Red pondered for a moment.

Hmmm... I wonder where everybody went? Red thought.

Fox Wanders for a minute
"So, why are you here? Why are you alone? Why aren't you with everybody else at the inn?"
Fox Shuts up, not wanting to ask more questions

"Ah... I'm here because I was too shy to ask the person I..." Red hesitated for a minute, making sure she didn't reveal too much.
"I was too shy to ask the person I like. He probably wouldn't like me anyway. Oh well." Red finished.

Fox Wanders off into space for a minute
"And besides, How are you so sure he is at the party? He might be out of town or something, you never know"
Fox wonders who he was.

"He's in town. I did see him. It tried to go up to him, but I couldn't manage" Red sighed.

" I would've done the same thing if i felt like that" She mumbles to herself, thinking of someone she lost, but tries to forget about it
"Why Dont You try giving him a card or something? If you're too shy to give him one, you can always try sneaking it somewhere where you know he'll look" Fox Says, hoping to brighten up the mood

"Aye, I could do that, but it's near impossible to put emotions into a card" Red thought for a moment, simulating in her mind what she would write.

Fox takes a tootsie roll out of her pocket and nibbles on it
"Well, I guess the best thing to do is to just try your best on saying it in words, y'know?"
Fox stares at the sky and lets her mind wander
