{Black heart event} Savannah & Chase

Savannah would have to thank Lumina the next time she saw her, letting her use their piano; how sweet of them. Quietly, Savannah sat down at on the little bench and pressed her fingers against the keys, produces a rather nice sounding chord. She grinned in triumph as she continued to play, not really knowing if she was playing a song or just making up one as she went along.

Walking through the unfamiliar town, Chase approached a rather impressive house. He had heard about a girl who lived there, and people talked about the girl sometimes. Said that she was an excellent piano player, or something of the sort. Lumina was her name; kind of strange, but Chase didn't really dwindle on things like that.

Knocking slightly on the door, he let himself in, like he had seen a little girl in braids do moments before. Immediately, his attention was caught by a girl sitting at the piano, pressing the keys. He wondered if he should say something; after all, he was an unwelcome visitor in --her?-- house.

"Uh, hello," he started.

The red head was not really expecting anyone in the other aside from Romana, Sebastian, and Lumina; whom all but Romana were out for the day. Hearing the greeting, Savannah accidently pressed a sour note, which actually made her cringe just a little. But she quickly recovered from it's noise, "Oh, hello." She responded. She had never really seen this male before but shrugged the thought out of her mind, "Are you looking for someone?" She questioned him.

Chase bit his lip. "Are you Lumina?" He asked, rubbing his neck with a large hand. He looked around. "This is a really nice place. Very...decorative. Lavish." He knew a little something about lavish places, but that was a story for another day entirely. He looked at the girl's dark red hair, and smiled softly to himself. It reminded him of his sister's own fire-red locks; they looked about as different as night and day, him with dark hair and light eyes, and her with red hair and dark eyes, but they were eerily similar in personality.

Shaking his head to bring himself back down to Earth, he continued. "My name is Chase. I'm from Mineral Town, and I was just...wandering around."

Savannah let out a soft chuckle, "No, sorry. My name is Savannah." She introduced herself, "But I'll be sure to tell her you said that." She smiled weakly; sure he wasn't bad looking. "But it's nice to meet you Chase." She responded to him, letting her fingers slide off of the piano keys. "If you don't mind my asking, but what are you doing all the way over here from Mineral Town?"

Chase blinked. "Oh. Uhm." He fumbled for words. Blinking once, he managed to compose himself, and answered, "Well, lots of people from Mineral Town visit Forget-Me-Not on their days off of work. Today is my day off, so I thought I might pay a visit." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and glanced out the window. "I can see what everyone's talking about, though. It's a very nice place here. Friendly people, nice houses..." His voice trailed off as he nodded at the fine interior of the upscale house.

Savannah nodded, “I see.” She spoke, “I’m not from Forget-Me-Not Valley either. I’m actually from the city so… Yeah.” She chuckled, “But I do agree. The atmosphere of this town is very calm and cool; very relaxing.” Savannah continued. Realizing he was talking about the mansion, “Oh! This place is very nice too. I think the owner, Romana, has lived here for most of her life. But I don’t entirely know.”

The boy nodded. "That sounded good," he said, nodding his head at the ivory keys that her fingers had just been rested upon. "You like music, too, huh?" He pulled out a guitar pick from his pocket, holding it up like a prized possesion--which, to him, it was. "I play guitar. And a little bit of piano, too." He motioned again at the piano, and asked, "May I?"

"Oh! Be my guest." Savannah slid over on the piano bench, giving him room to sit next to her. "How long have you been playing?" She questioned him, a tiny smile came upon her face as he told her that he was also a musician. It was refreshing to music by others as well as your own.

"5 years," Chase replied, sliding next to the redhead on the bench and arching his fingers, pressing the tips against the keys. "I started with the acoustic guitar, and then, when I was used to reading music and had a good feel for rythm, I did a little keyboard slash piano. I still prefer guitar--especially acoustic-- but piano is a good social tool." He played a quick, simple melody, finishing the bit with a flourish.

Savannah smiled and nodded, "Really? That's pretty cool." She spoke as she watched him press his fingers upon the keys with such precision and synchronization. "I actually started out with the violin first, but I can play the guitar just a little bit." She continued to watch him. "But I have to agree, the piano is a good social tool." She let out a weak chuckle as he pressed his final notes as she clapped her hands lightly, "Bravo."

Chase grinned. "Eh. I'm still pretty rusty." He stretched his arms out in front of him, palms outward and fingers interlocked. "If I had a great piano like this one, though, you couldn't keep me off of it." He ran one of his fingertips across the smooth surface of the piano, which was virtually dustless. "It's really a great instrument. I could never afford something like this. It looks like a priceless heirloom, and," he paused as he looked around the rest of the main room of the grand house, "I wouldn't really be surprised if it were. A priceless heirloom, that is."
