Not the Same Anymore [Blue Heart - Ian and Kitty]

What in the world had happen? It was crystal clear, but yet a blur to Kitty still. Instead of hiding in her house to think about it, instead she went to her smithery. The store was closed and she didn't have any work to do, but she felt as if she could think here. Nothing seemed to make sense after an hour though and she began to melt metal and work on making making a fishing pole. Part of her didn't understand why in the world would Ian do something like that. She came to look at a painting and the next thing she knew the atmosphere of the room changed and they got close, really close. Too close for comfort. She froze in the middle of pounding the metal into shape and she felt her eyes starting to get watery and a teardop fell from her face and made a sizzling sound on the hot anvil.

Ian chewed on some wheat he had snatched from someone's farm on the way to Kitty's store. This is where she worked, wasn't it? He heaved a deep sigh, then lightly tapped on the door, not waiting for someone to answer before he walked in. Ian wore a giant baggy hoodie with the sleeves cut off, reveling his thin but sculpted arms. He had the hood up and also put on sunglasses, so maybe Kitty wouldn't see him. His long orange hair was pulled back into a pony tail, and he had gelled his bangs back out of his face.

"Excuse me." He said in a lighter tone, so maybe Kitty wouldn't recognize him. "This is Kitty's marvelous metals, right?"
Ian peaked through his sunglasses and saw she had been crying. Great,

Kitty's eyes were red and felt irritated from crying. A light knock was at the door so she wipped away the tears, but she didn't awnser and quickly wipped at her eyes. The store was closed today afterall, so why should she awnser it? The person must had not noticed the closed sign and ventured in though. "Yeah, but we're closed today," she said looking at the man who walked in. Something was familar about him and then it hit her. Part of her felt sick to her stomache, "Ian."

"Guess it didn't work." he said taking his hood and sunglasses off. "Looks like I'm going to have to practice my disguises more."
Ian gave a light chuckle but quickly cut it off. His face became rueful. "You've been crying." he noted. He took a step towards Kitty. "Kitty, I-"

He sounded like he was sorry, but it didn't feel right to Kitty. Instinctivly she slaped his hand away and retreated backwards away from him. Her left foot slipped and in attempt to stop herself from falling she tried grabbing something to bring her back. There was not much to grab in her work area though and her right handed ended up landing on the hot anvil. Pain rushed through her hand and she screamed letting it go and falling on her left arm. There was a sickening poping sound that came from it and pain now felt all over her left arm. It felt like she was being stabbed in multiple places.

"KITTY!" Ian yelled, watching her slip. He reached his arm out for her and grabbed her wrist. While doing this, Ian lost his own footing and fell sideways, hitting his arm off of the hot anvil. "ARG!" he screamed. grabbing his arm. Then, there was a blood-curling cracking noise.

Ignoring his own pain, he threw himself over Kitty, his hands landing on either side of her head. "Kitty, Kitty are you alright?" he asked in a tizzy. She seemed to be in pain, too much pain.
Don't ever lose your composure in a ban situation, Ian. These familiar words echoed in Ian's head. He took three slow breaths of air, and relaxed his muscles. His arm had luckily only obtained a 2 degree burn, it was Kitty that needed to be tended to. "Kitty, can you move?" he asked coolly. "What hurts?"

Kitty's eyes had closed when she first landed, but a moment later she opened them to see that Ian was over her. She didn't mind that though because of the blistering pain on her right hand and the stabbing pain in her left arm. "My-my arm," she said looking down to see that it was bleeding slightly. It was bent in an unusal shape and there was a cut on it, but not that deep fortunatly. Her right hand was a light read with black steaks here and there from ash from the anvil. It wasn't as troublesome as her left arm though.

Ian looked over it and nodded. "Common." he said. Ian picked Kitty up in his arms and held her like a princess. "We need to get you to the hospital. Sorry if this form of transportation isn't very comfortable, you you'll just have to deal with it. You're a tough girl. Oh, by the way, I'll fix your door later." Using all of his strength, Ian was able to kick the door off one of its hinges. "Hang tight, princess." Then, Ian took off running down the road with Kitty in his arms. There had to be a hospital around, somewhere.
