Suprising New Years Day [Wess/Genna]

Oh New years eve, the day where everyone stays up till three am or later. For Genna, she took the couch and just dared herself to stay up until she at least saw a few minutes of the fireworks. She didn't know if it was bad for the baby if the mother stayed up all night. She looked up at the clock, tiredly and saw it was only seconds away till a new year came.

5..4...3....2.....1!

"Happy New years, It's finally Spring 1rst," Genna said tiredly. Then of course, fireworks were booming. She was to tired to get off, she just wanted to collapse on the couch. She let out a small moan when the baby kept kicking her. She could imagine the baby telling to just go to bed.

Until, a sharp pain came which made her shot up from the couch. It kept hurting until she couldn't take it anymore. "Wess, I think the baby wants out now," She said weakly.

It took a minute for the thought to register in Wess' head. "Wha'?" he asked at first, tired. Then it registered. "Oh Goddess!" he shouted. "Genna, take deep breaths, I'll get a doctor," Rushing over to the phone, he quickly punched in several numbers. "..........Yes, The baby- Right," was all that was said. "We have someone on their way," he said, sitting down beside Genna, he held her hand. "Do you need anything?" he asked, this entire childbirth birth thing had his nerves on edge, but he managed to retain his level head.

Genna tried to take deep breathes, she never knew labor was this hurtful. It took Wess to get it register in his mind until he started to freak out. Thankfully, a doctor was coming. She would wait for the doctor to come, but she just can't stand this. Her husband asked if she needed anything.

"I want time to go faster,"

She complained. She held his hand tightly, she want something to squeeze in the mean time. She just chose his hand. The one worry that went through her head was what every soon-to-be-mother worried.

"Is the baby going to be okay? Is it healthy?"

That ran through her mind. Plus she didn't want to die like her mother had. Just giving birth. Now three worries. She just bit her lip.

"It- And you, are going to be fine," he said, mostly lying about the "you" part- This was going to hurt. The door bell rang as Wess ran over to answer it, the doctor walked in. "Okay..." he said, rushing up to Genna, pulling out a blanket. He covered her with it, as he began to get out instruments. He handed her a pill. "Here," he said, rushing about, setting things up. Wess sat beside Genna, going back to hold her hand.

Genna knew he was just trying to calm her down. But thankfully, the doctor came. He gave her blanket and then a pill. She swallowed it and then took another glance at the doctor. The doctor was giving her a sign to push. The pushes were painful but not enough to make her scream. She pushed an pushed until she heard cries. She took a deep breathe and exhaled. "It's a girl!" The doctor yelled out.

Now she was just worried if it was not healthy. But since she had the time to look at the clock, she did. 1:05 am. Wow, that long? She looked at Wess happily, "You're a daddy!" She giggled slightly. Soon the doctor came back handing her the baby girl. "Hundred percent healthy," She was relieved when he said that.

"Grace Hill, what should be your middle name?"

Wess looked thoughtful for a moment, and then he said, "Katherine," After Genna's late sister. He smiled lightly, looking at his new child, who had what looked to be a chestnut hair color. He ran his hand along the baby's cheek, and kissed it, and then Genna. "Sound good to you?" he asks, shuffling his knees in an attempt to stand. He took a deep breath- Poor Genna. "You okay?" he asks.

Genna smiled, they were finally parents. "Grace Katherine Hill, I like that," She smiled happily. She looked down at her daughter who seemed to be happily sleeping right now. She couldn't blame her, it was one am. She didn't know if she could sleep, because so many thing happened to them.

"Yea I'm fine,"

She said, still adoring her little daughter. Little Grace was just too cute.
