Letting out a big yawn, Gabriel found himself waking up from yet another one of his daily naps. He may be an expert doctor, but if there was anything he'd be better at was being a lazy bum. His messy hair was only managed by a single rubber band, that in a miracle held back the un-brush mass. He only shaved his face when his five o'clock shadow got a tad think, which it was rapidly approaching. In a sense time had frozen for the sloth of a man, and he liked it. Working here was perfect for him, since it was rare to get a patient a week. Life was in the slow lane or cruse for him, which kept him content.

Soon the day would be done and he'd head to the bar and he'd not only fill his need for a smoke, but also a few drinks. Maybe he'd call Michael and convince his best friend to meet him down there. Shoot, maybe he'd even leave a few minutes early. Getting off the small sectional in his office he picked up the phone, dialed Michael's number, got a busy signal, and gave up. Still, he'd leave early.

That was his intention till he saw a wounded man starting to open the door. Sighing he went up to the door and observed the injuries. "Get mauled by a dog?" he asked only guessing. He couldn't see anything due to the shredded clothing, but neither less the guy looked in pretty bad shape. Looks like he'd be staying for a little time after the store closed after all.

Kamal limped rather painfully through the doors, grimacing slightly but not making a sound. Kage trailed behind him silently while trying to stay out of sight. Looking around for anyone, he was about to call out when someone suddenly started to speak from next to him. Looking in the general direction he found a male in a doctor's uniform, but with hair that could only be described as wild, to put it mildly. Once he registered what he said, Kamal started to speak, "No, of course not! Why would a dog attack me when we have this incredibly dangerous FOX! I mean, look at the thing, it'll send shivers through your spine!" He glowered while waving at Kage, who by some chance, caught on and gave a kicked-puppy kind of look, which looked quite amusing on a fox.

The guy's leg was obviously in pretty bad shape. It was sloppily wrapped up by a shirt and it started to spot through in a couple of places. The pain must have been getting on his nerves, for the man made an excellent sarcastic comment that could almost win a gold metal--it put a sly smile on Gabriel's face as he said, "Follow me." The fox looked too innocent to have caused the man's anguish, but soon it'd be over with anyway. Besides it was up to the patient to tell him what happened. Gabriel was an aloof kind of guy, he'd listen if he was told--but seldom he was actually interested.

He lead the man to the closest exam room, because he knew if he picked one further away it might get on the guy's nerves and in-turn on his own. He opened the door and immediately when for the bandages and peroxide to help clean up the wound. "Are you starting to feel like you're catching a flu at all?" questioned Gabriel to see if the man was experiencing any symptoms of rabies. Something bit him, and it might have been rabid after all.

Kamal practically growled in frustration when his remark got to opposite effect he wanted, he even had the nerve to smile! He silently counted back from ten to calm down his nerves while following the doctor, Cunningham if he read the name tag correctly, to a exam room. Once he got inside, he sat down on the bed that he had always seen in hospitals, briefly wondering why they all looked the same. Sighing, he forced back onto Cunningham, listening silently while he asked his question. Thinking it over, he knew how a flu felt like, he had enough of those living in the forest, and he didn't feel any signs that he had one, but as for his legs, he was pretty sure that the dog bite through to the bone. "Flu, no. But I'm pretty sure that my leg is going to get infected, that dog bite through to the bone."

"Good," commented Gabriel as he marked that down on a chart. "Tell me if you get any flu symptoms in a week though. Rabies can take that long to get into effect. And I'll prescribe you some antibiotics to help prevent an infection."

It was easy to tell that the man clearly wasn't happy with Gabe's earlier reaction, but Gabriel could really care less. People's opinions didn't matter to him and that was one thing that always got him in trouble. There was something worse about him that got him into bigger trouble. He liked toying with people like the man sitting in front of him. Since he was a patient, he'd try to hold it back. A man like Gabe could only do that for so long though.

"Let's see exactly how bad it is," said Gabe as he knelt by the man's leg and began to unwrap the bloody fabric around his leg. "Whoa, I haven't seen a mess this bad since my days working in the ER," whistled Gabriel. There were a few puncture wounds, but that wasn't even half as bad as the real issue. The bone was visible, only a little, but enough to cause some serious bleeding. Without a doubt he'd need stitches.

Grabbing some disinfecting sprayed he stated seriously, "This is going to sting." He wasn't going to sugarcoat everything that typical doctors did. He pressed the trigger a few times and disinfected sprayed all over the wound.
