Kathy's Room

*Enters the Inn*
"This is the Forget-Me-Not Inn. Would you like a sperate room or a room with a couple of roomates?"
"Ah and Kathy feel free to ask me any questions. I will happily answer them."

"Thank you, much obliged," Kathy replies, going to the window.

She stares out into the sunset as she continues, her vocie sounding a bit choked. She seems to be rememebering something painful.

She swallows and says, "How much is the rent?"

"Umm.."
*Hesitates*
"500g a week... including food expenses. If you plan on eating in the hotel."

"I don't," She says.

Her voice has grown strangely soft you notice. And she doesn't seem to by mad anymore. Instead it seems like she's about to cry, which is in itself strange.

Swallowing again, she says, her musical tone sounding pained, "How much without food expenses?"

"Food is only 250g."
"You know ^^ 500g a week is really cheap than other Inn. That doesn't make our Inn a bad Inn. Our Inn is the top of the top."

*walks in*

"Hi, how are you two doing?"

Kathy takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself.

"No, this Inn does seem better than the other one," She comments, her voice growing even quieter.

You can hardly hear her. But you CAN tell that she's VERY close to having some kind of break-down. You're starting to worry.

"I like it here. And I know it is cheap. That is what makes this place a good one. A true success. You are very priviliged to work here."

She turns to smile at you. Her eyes are glistening wiht water about to spill over. Her smile is faint though, and it seems work to keep it.

"Thank you," She whispers. This time it seems to come easier. "Thank you."

Kathy notices Aren and goes pink again.

You notice that she's really about to cry, and are (probably) worried about her. She doesn't seem the one to break down and cry.

"A-Are you okay?!"
*starts worrying alot*

"K-kathy, are you ok?"

*goes up to kathy*

"I suppose I'm not," Kathy replies, turning away again.

You can see a hand reach up to her face and lower itself. As she continues, you can definitely hear the tears in her voice.

"This place brings back painful memories, is all. But that's because it's so darn beautiful. It makes me remeber a place like it, and not in a good way. But I shouldn't really have anything to complain about. I apologize."

"what place? oh nevermind, it's probabily too personal"

"My home," Kathy whispers, sounding completely and utterly heartbroken.

Her voice trembles, but not once does the musical lilt leave it. Even with tears in it, her voice is the most beautiful you have yet to hear.

"The home I had before... until I was seven."

Her breathing has sped, and you can hear her crying quietly. Her shoudlers are gently trembling, and her hands are clenched into fists. You can tell she doesn't like to cry, nor does she do so often.

"Kathy, you look like you want to cry, go ahead, let it out"

The girl leans forward, resting her forehead against the cool glass. Her arms reach up to her face, and mighty sobs break forward. She sinks to her knees, still facing the wall and crying her heart out.

You can tell she hasn't cried about whatever she was crying about since it happened. You can sense that she needs to let this out. She appears a lost, lonely child. You also realize her rudeness comes only from never learning to be around people as much.

The sob wrack her body, and she's shaking with the force of her tears. Despite the strength and pain behind them, her tears are almsot silent. You are btoh amazed and impressed at the ability to keep that kind of pain bottled up from the past and silent as it pours out now.

"Aiyo, why don't you lead her to her room and i'll get her something from the kitchen. oh, i'll be paying her rent, is that ok?"

"I asked Kathy if i could pay her rent but... she declined D: and i don't think that she would apperciate anyone paying for her. =[ "
*Gets a headache*
*shakes head*
"Lets go, Kathy your room is just upstairs 2 rooms down. I promise you its a good room"
*whispers to Aren so Kathy doesn't hear*
"But, dun worry, im going to ask Ruby to lower the price for her just a while until Kathy gets enough money on her own"

*whispers back to Aiyo*

"alright"

*talks out loud*

"Well, I hope you enjoy your stay in the Valley Kathy, i've got to go back and take care of my animals."

*leaves*

"Bye Aren ^^"
*Opens a Inn door*
"Here is your room Kathy(:"

"Thanks..." Kathy whispers.

You are surprised to hear that her voice is very cold and curt, and when she faces you, there isn't a trace that she had been crying on her face.

*Aren came back to the inn after his chores and came into kathy's room*

"Kathy, you feeling any better?"

*Calmly walks into the Inn.*
*Looks around*
*whispers to myself*
"Its okay.. there are people here.. I'm not alone.."
