Il Pleut [BH- Genna and Dylan]

April flowers bring May flowers, right? There had to be a limit to that though, for Dylan was shure that if flowers would get too much rain they'd drown and die. That's the way it was and had always been. It was really close to summer and the temperature was warm, the only thing was that it was raining... again. She hoped the weather would've been better at Waffle Island, but she ended up having to spend her time indoors instead of exploring the scenery like she had planned. Town Hall was a nice place, make no mistake in that, but after all the coldness of winter Dylan was ready to enjoy the sun rather than spend her time looking at books. She could do that in Mineral Town afterall.

It was drizzling at first when Genna got outside of her house. She didn't mind it, but just in case she got an umbrella. Genna looked in her handbag for the to-do list. As soon as she got it out, it started pouring hard. The umbrella came in use right about now.

"That was fast," Genna muttered.

She sighed and put the to-do list back in her bag. The nearest place was the Town Hall. What would she do in there anyways? Genna slowly opened the door to see if anyone was there except the mayor. Low and Behold there was Dylan. How long has she not seen her? There was no time for guessing.

"Oh my God, Dylan" Genna said aloud.

The familar sound of herown name made Dylan turn towards Genna. She wasn't too familar with the girl yet, but she remembered her without a doubt. It seemed like it had been months since she last saw the girl, but now here she was again. "Hi," she said as she gently set a book back. She smiled cheerfully, glad she at least had someone to talk to now. Being alone was sort of boring and if she would have thought straight, she would have brought someone along with her. Now she didn't need to regret that at the moment. "Long time no see Genna," she said pushing her long bangs away from her forehead. "How are you doing?"

Dylan remembered her all right. If she didn't, Genna would of felt like a complete idiot. Oh well. "I'm fine. This rain just kind of ruined my day I guess." Genna said. It was great seeing Dylan again. It did make sense why they haven't seen each other because Dyan lived in Mineral Town while Genna lived all the way here in Waffle island.

"Anything new happened these days?" Genna asked raising her left eyebrow.

She knew something happened. That was the things that kinda annoyed her sister.

It was nice to hear all was well with Genna and she couldn't help but agree that the rain ruined her day too. It was practically summer now, so she hoped the weather would be good. Unfortunatly, the opposite of what she hoped happened.

"Umm...," said Dylan thinking of what happened recently. Nothing much to be honest, but a certain someone did come up in her mind. She had fallen in love and that's all she really cared to remember at the moment, for that's what love did apparently. "Not much," she said getting a little quieter. "Just work, no festivals oddly enough."

"Not much"

Huh, Genna's mind was wrong. She shrugged and turned her head towards the window. It was buckets o rain, gray outside, and Genna was worried the window was going to shatter. That wasn't entirely true but still.

"Dylan, have you ever seen this much rain before?" Genna said amused.

Genna used to live in a place where few inches of rain a year. She thought waffle island might be a rain forest since there was so much rain. But that wasn't true.

"Yea, no festivals recently" Genna added.

The drops flew down mostiening the earth and she walked over to the window and peered out the thin layer of glass. Her head nodded, "Yeah. Where I used to live got plenty of rain." It was hard not to remember the quiet rainy days she spent in her hometown. For a moment she daydreamed about how her mom used to make cocoa and they'd bake cookies together to pass the time away.

"I think in summer they're going to have one though," she said snapping out of her daydream. As a matter of fact she had read it on a bulletin board at the town square on her way here.

There's going to be a festival soon? In the summer? "Finally" Genna said. How long has it been since there was a festival. Genna guessed probably a year. "What's the festival going to be about?" Genna asked
She was curious. She hadn't been to a festival in awhile.

For a second Dylan was out of it, but then she snapped back into reality. "It's all through summer," she explained. "It's on Waffle Island too, which is umm, where we are." She hoped to go with Ari to the firefly festival she heard about, but wasn't going to make him go to the fireworks. To be honest they scared her silly. "There's a beach part, fireworks, and firefly fesitvals throughout all of summer," she explained.

All summer?

And Genna did not know of this. She giggled to herself for being so dumbfounded that it was all summer. Might as well go there when the weather calms down. "That's good." Genna said. Suddenly, the rain started to die down a bit. It wasn't hailing, It wasn't pelting down, She thought this was like Noah's ark but with no animals and a flood for forty days.

It was cloudy but now it was drizzling. "The rain has calmed down." Genna said amused. The rain calmed down this quick?

Dylan streached tiredly after Genna was done talking about the summer festival thing. Quickly she let her hair down then put it back up, because it was starting to get messy. Genna's attention was to the window and when she heard that it was now drizzling she couldn't help but take a look for herself. "Wow," she said relieved. "Maybe it'll stop all together soon." If it did she might have time to look around before she had to leave the island to head back home.

"Yea" Genna said slowly.

"Maybe I can get some things done before it starts pelting down again." She thought. She grabbed her bag from the floor and turned to Dylan. "Well I guess I should leave before it starts raining again. See you soon" Genna said.

She opened the door grabbed her to do list and stole another glance at Dylan and smiled. Then Genna headed out.
