Virtual Villagers/Family

I officially love these games. >8D

Virtual Villagers is where you're in control of a bunch of people -maybe six to eight people at first- who crashed onto a deserted island after your home was destroyed. You have to work together to stay alive by gathering food, having kids, building shelters, farming, gaining experience in medicine and stuff so that you can heal villagers, etc.


Virtual Families (my personal preference) is a game in which you "adopt" a person at the beginning. All the characters are different, and they all have jobs which can be completed at home (either in the kitchen, on the computer, or in a little workshop in the backyard). You can get married, have kids, buy things for your house, get trophies, earn money, heal sicknesses in your people, buy food, and do all kinds of things. Once your main character and their spouse die (it happens, sadly....usually once they hit 55 or 60 years old, unless you starve them to death or something), you can continue your game by choosing one of their kids to move back to the house (which still has all your upgrades and everything), and start lives of their own.


TONS OF FUN, and directed towards the age group that most of you Harvest-Dreamers are at. I totally recommend it. ;]

You can buy these games at bigfishgames.com. I paid $6.99 for my Virtual Families installation. They also have some other games that I like on Big Fish Games, such as Belle's Beauty Shop. (Dunno why I'm so addicted to SIM games. XD) You can download an hour-long trial of all their games and see if you like 'em. ^^

The SIM games are the only ones I play, other than Time Management (which still counts as SIM, I guess XD) and Spider Solitare. ^^

I have a debit card, so I just use that to buy games. ^^ My mom has to okay them first, though.

I'm not some spoiled little brat who uses Daddy's credit card to buy her life's desires. XD My debit card has my birthday money and money I make babysitting or doing extra chores around the house on it. I don't get special priveleges. >.>;;



The demo PWNS. <3 It got me hooked, and I was so freaked when it was over, because I'm like "OH NOES, MY PEOPLE ARE GONNA DIEEEE! D8!"

But you don't have a spoiled PERSONALITY. XD There's a difference between being pampered, and EXPECTING the world to be handed to you on a silver platter. Like, my boyfriend's family has a boat, and goes on cruises a lot, and they have two houses and a condo, and a bunch of other stuff, but my boyfriend is the sweetest guy in the entire world. He's the only person that I can actually talk to for hours, because he never runs out of stuff to say. ^^



I HATE IT WHEN THEY DIEEEE. D8 In Virtual Families, when they die, they lay on the bed, and then their ghosts leave their bodies, wave at you, and then disappear. And the entire family crowds into the room and "mourns the dead." O.o

I love Big Fish games, because they let you download the demo, and then the games are insanely cheap. I got Virtual Families for $6.99! Other games that I've bought for the CPU online are usually about $20!

I think so. It gives you an option to BUY NOW or DOWNLOAD FREE TRIAL.

Yeah. You don't have to use the entire hour at once. You can play for five minutes, and have 55 minutes left to play when you feel like it. Or you can use the whole hour in one sitting.

They're pre-made. You have to choose which one you want out of a list at the beginning. If you don't see one that you want, just keep pressing "Try Again" until you get one that you like.

"i hope they have one that looks like skye or bakura." (well actually i can't ever tell a difference except eye color) "and does it work on any computer?"

I'm not sure, but if it works on my super-old, junky computer, it probably works for most CPUs. It lists system requirements on the site.
