| One of my favorite novels has been turned into a movie. It's My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I read it for fun this year and I almost cried while reading it at the end. Jodi Picoult has a great writting style and if you want to become a good writer read this book. She portrays many of the character's emotions in a different way. The movie comes out tommarrow where I live and I'm going to see it.
Here's the plot:
Ann was born to save her sister Kate, who has a deadly case of APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia). Her DNA was picked by her parents, so she'd be a perfect donor for her sister. Tired of always going to the hospital and not being able to go after her own dreams Ann sues her parents for the right of her own body.

| It is really sad. I almost cried while reading the book. I don't often let myself cry, but it made me so sad. It is a great story though. | |

| The ending is great. It's also the saddest part in the whole book. I'm not a fan of love stories too. I prefer a story that strays away from romance. I don't mind a good romance story as long as there is violence in it. | |

| YOU READ MY MIND. I was gonna make this topic. XD
This is one of my absolute favorite books ever. My mom read it, too, and she hated the ending, but I thought it was an interesting twist.
If the movie ruins the book, I'm going to be mad. XD But I'll go see it anyways. ^^ I LOVE Jodi Picoult.

| I wasn't expecting the ending at all. It caught me off guard so badly. xD
I'll be mad if the movie ruins the book too. It's a classic novel that should have a movie to equal it's awesomeness.
ES have you read The Lovely Bones by Alice Seabold too?

| I loved that book too. The beginning was weird though. I can't wait for that movie to come out. The director of the Lord of the Rings is going to make it. I forgot his name. xD | |

| It felt a little slow to me; however, the basic plot was good. ^^
Lots of good movies coming out. ((MSK, TLB, T2, Up, etc.)) I hope they're not duds. D8

| The companies were probably waiting for summer, because it's the best time to make money. Many people are out of school and go to movies durning summer. I go to more movies in summer than any other time of year. | |

I might go and borrow the novel from the library. It sounds exciting now. I just took the summary thing about the movie and edited it to fit my style. I wouldn't spoil any of the things that are surprising. Where is the fun in that? - afsangle wrote:

| THIS IS A REAL SPOILER. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, DON'T LOOK.- Spoiler:
THEY CHANGED THE ENDING. WHAT THE HECK. D:<
Other than that, the movie was pretty good.
Kazumi, the parents chose the genes by making Anna, essentially, a test tube baby. Specific genes were taken from both parents and combined purposefully to create a perfect genetic match for Kate, the girl with cancer.

| It made sense at the time for the parents. Neither Jesse (the brother; in the movie, he's really hot imo xD)) or the parents were matches, and since the little girl was only 2 when she got cancer, there was a good chance that donations would work. It's a really rare, violent form of cancer, too--APL, I think it was. | |

| By the way, you guys (I'm double-posting because this is important), "My Sister's Keeper" is NOT a kid's novel. It's meant for adults, and it has some strong language and adult themes in it. You should probably make sure it's okay with your parents before you buy the book or go to see it in the theatre. | |
