I'm sorry but I'm going to put this up as a rule about character "remaking" (very soon) and here are the reasons why.
Sorry in advance that you can't do them anymore. I'm not saying that it's not allowed before. We use to allow it but now we can't. Here are some reasons why. There are others but I can't type that much.
It's hard to keep track of. just have people make random characters they don't really care about, destroy them, and then remaking them again and again...who knows up to how many times. This can spark confusion.
If someone comes back in two weeks...they'll go "wait, I thought you were
"this person".Too convenientAnd there are scenerios where you feel like making anyone, killing them off just for a fun RP, and then doing it again. And then some people just might make too many new ones randomly for a specific topic.
May be DisresectfulIf you get married and suddenly you "died or are deleted..." pretty disrespectful to that person who "rped a long time to marry you." Or if you have a best friend. They suddenly "disappear." How did you feel when some characters "just are gone?" o.o!
(not deleting, only Changing Looks)If you change your character's look or something, make them go to a hair dye store and RP it out or soemthing...and add it to your journal... Justice changed his look, but right now he is going to RP about the change. The problem is that he's a little inactive right now due to certain circumstances in his life.
Not deleting, Personality ChangeA character with the same name, or even with very similar traits, then they change personalities. It might be too convenient for you in a new set of Rps with other people...they'd interact with you and then suddenly you're different. Pretty unrealistic. That isn't what you're doing but...you get what I mean. Some people use to just change personalities.
Too Much...We can't imagine approving 10-30 new profiles of deleted and newly made characters based on a person's whim. We used to be a small site so small changes are okay, but now...imagine the confusion! Remember the character rule change in character creation we use to have. We use to let people be anything they want. But with a larger site...imagine 20+ Witch Princess Sisters....
This is the same here, there's too much confusion later, and too many new profiles to approve, and then there's not enough care in a character creation. o_O!
And yeah, like I said...others will get confused if many people start doing it.
Will I be able to get a new one?We'll write out something but it's VERY VERY rare. Most likely most of you won't be able to make a new one without a very good reason.
So again, XD I'm sure you guys understand.
Make your character go through something and grow. That's the best way to make things interesting.
