Under the Moonlight [Ari/Dylan]

He stood out along the shoreline of the ocean--the sun was barely above the horizon. When was the last time he was able to really get out of the house like this? Certainly before Jethro was born, but that was no regret. But he knew he had to take just one night off from being a parent, just to spend it with his lovely wife. He had told her to meet him there, he sighed patiently. Ari had given his son to his best friend and neighbor to watch for the evening--knowing that Jethro would be happy to see Clara again.

He held his hands behind his back, debating on whether or not to touch the waves that ran up near him with his feet, not wanting to risk getting his pants soaked--it would be rather uncomfortable. He hummed to himself, under his breath, while he listened to the waves crashing up against the sandy beach.

Dylan had just gotten off of work for the evening and went to the beach as she was told to do so by her husband. Having a baby was great, but it was tiring. She couldn't remember the last time she got a full night of sleep or had been alone with her husband. Just the two of them. It was strange how everything seemed so clear on that night. The moon was full and seemed to light everything up. She wasn't the only one that had come to the beach that night. As she approached the figure she saw, she recognized it was the man she loved and she smiled sweetly. One thing did claw at her mind though.

"Where's Jethro?" she asked wondering where their adorable son was.

A part of him couldn't help but wonder if she had gotten too tired and went home to sleep. He rocked back and forth on his heels, actually becoming a little nervous--he didn't want to stand there alone and look like a fool for the night. Just as he turned, a familiar voice crossed his ears, his darling wife's voice. He chuckled softly as he walked towards her, "Chase and Mia are watching him for the evening." He explained simply, gently taking her hand in his own, stopping in front of her. "So it's just us for the evening." He smiled, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. "Hope you don't mind."

With her hands in his, Ari planted a warm kiss on the top of Dylan's forehead making her blush. The idea of it just being the two of them was really nice. No diapers or warming up bottles, just a nice night to themselves.

"Yes," she said with a little ring in her voice as she blinked her blue eyes up at him. "I don't mind; it's been long since we've been out like this together. It's rather nice I have to say." Not that she didn't want Jethro to be there. He was the most adorable baby ever to her and she loved him with all her heart. The thing is that there was never time for just her and Ari though.

In the darkness, Ari somehow noticed her blush, which he responded with a playful smirk--one reason he loved her aside from many other reasons. "I agree." He smiled, turning slightly to lead her down the beach and near the water. "It's nice to have a night like this. Just you and me. Me and you." He smiled, pulling her next to him on the shoreline in a gentle embrace. The night was peaceful and there were many stars out in the night sky above them.

Easily Dylan was led by Ari closer to the water. His words were kind and gentle, like they always were when he showed affection towards her and she loved it. It was like she was the only one for him since she was the only one he talked to like that. He made her feel special.

His embrace was warm and comforting to Dylan. In a way it melted all her stress away. She imagined that they were on their honey moon again standing on the beach of Hibiscus Island. It would be amazing if they could go on a trip like that again, but it would be hard since Jethro was so young and they couldn't expect Chase and Mia to watch him for more than a night. They also had Clara who they needed to watch. "I love you," she said gently smiling.

He took a moment to glance down towards his wife, she seemed to be thinking about something, "What are you thinking about?" He asked with softly, resting his chin on the top of her head. She spoke up to him and he smiled, "I love you too." He answered back, releasing her from his embrace, "Would the misses like to go for a walk?" He smiled weakly, taking her hand back in his own, with a gentle squeeze.

Dylan looked up at Ari and smiled. Part of her wanted to playfully tease him, but she'd rather do that later and have a romantic evening. "Just how lucky I am," she chimmed. It was true, she was probably the luckiest girl in the world to be married to a man like Ari and have such an adorable son like Jethro. Nothing could be better than that. "With pleasure," she said happily as Ari held on to her hand.
