| Chapter 1 New girl - Spoiler:
Chapter 1
New girl
The over world was calm for the moment. It was peaceful seeing as Medusa was locked away. There was silence around the Sky world, plus the Over World. Well, there was one place where it wasn’t silent. The battle grounds. The small field with training dummies and many bows and arrows for practicing aim. There was a boy angel training at the moment. Probably around the age of six teen. His name wasn’t like others’ but it was a name to never forget. His name was Pit.
Pit was training. Arrows were everywhere, yet mostly on the red aiming points on dummies. He had been training all day so far. Panting, he straightened his back. Then, catching his eye, he saw the lovely Goddess Palutena. The goddess Pit found to be like a mother. He was an orphaned boy after all, not knowing what real motherly affection was. He just assumed it would be like so. She smiled at him as she walked towards the angel. “Pit…” He kneeled before her then stood back up, the sparkle of loyalty shone in his eyes. “We have a new arrival and not to mention a prodigy. She is now our new vice captain. Her name is Shadow.” Pit looked at this girl. His age… Black hair… Red eyes… She was perfect! Pit had always wanted to experience mortal feelings. He had also read about one spell the human beings would be cursed with. The feeling of the curse was good though. Now he knew. The spell was called ‘love at first sight’. The girl known as ‘Shadow’ looked at him, not a very impressed look on her face. “He’s the captain of your army? Excuse me Goddess Palutena but he looks very… Weak…” She exclaimed Pit was very surprised. Had she just call him weak? To him, this was unacceptable but Goddess Palutena did nothing. It was almost as if she suspected it. Pit was just going to start an argument yet Goddess Palutena decided to cut in, preventing this from happening. “Pit, you must show her what to do.” Pit kneeled again. “Yes…” Goddess Palutena smiled and then walked passed Pit, Pit assuming she would be walking to the healing springs. He stood up as she whispered in his ear. “Be polite. Remember she’s new around here.”
Once she was gone, Pit folded his arms. His wings gently resting on his shoulders. “So… You’re the new vice captain?” She looked away from him, as if trying to hide her expression. “Yeah… So?” Pit got annoyed with her tone. Even if Goddess Palutena wouldn’t approve, he didn’t care. He pulled out his bow and shot an arrow at her to see her reaction. They were arrows that would stop right before they hit the target. They were created to make the opponent flinch, giving time for the attacker to have time to strike. She didn’t move. She stayed the exact way she was before, not moving even an inch. As wanted, the arrows disintegrated before hitting her. “Impressive… How did you know?” She then looked at him. “It’s pretty obvious. Its easy to tell if they’re real or trick arrows. You can tell by their movement.” Pit put an angry expression on his face. This girl was acting different that other girls he knew. Besides, he knew those kinds of arrows moved strangely in the air. She had also said it as he was dumb, making him mad. “Well we better start training.” He said, making a position, as if taunting her. She smirked, making Pit nervous. “Ha! With the tired look on you, it will be easy to beat you!” Pit then shot more arrows at her but this time they real. They glided gracefully in the air as they quickly headed towards her. She dodged them all, still standing in that certain spot. He rushed over to her, separating his bow into two, making the pieces like swords, as he charged.
He then made a suprised attack, dropping his bow pieces and went to punch. His fist almost hit her face. It would have if she didn’t dodge. She grabbed his hand and pulled it, flipping. He hit the ground with a thud, closing his eyes from the impact. When he opened them, he saw his life flash before his eyes. Shadow was kneeling beside him, the pointed side of his bow a centimeter from touching his neck. He closed his eyes again as smirked. Shadow tensioned her muscles, getting ready for an attack. Nothing came though. Nothing but laughs. She slowly lifted the sword like object, not letting her guard down. Pit laughed a little more. “Nice. I didn’t see that coming.” He paused for a moment as Shadow blushed from the compliment of her battling skills. He then grabbed the other half of his bow and held it horizontally in front of him. He was ready to fight her, even if she was a girl. Gender didn’t matter either way. Even if she was a girl, she could still be as good of a fighter as him. Shadow then threw the opposite half of his bow to him. “Wouldn’t be fair if I had half of your weapon, would it be?” Pit hesitated to take it. She could have charmed it, seeing as she had a small crest on her bow tied onto her back. This crest ment she used magic. Pit ended up taking it though. Nothing went wrong. It seemed she wasn’t playing in an unfair matter. Good.
Time passed. By the time Pit and Shadow’s little brawl was over, the two of them were covered in blood. Shadow, with blood running down her forehead, was sitting down. Pit, the same except blood running down his arms instead. They were sitting, back to back. As they both panted, they never noticed Goddess Palutena watching them. They wouldn’t either way for she was watching them with a crystal ball, made specially for watching over someone. “Goddess Palutena… Do you think it will actually happen like we planned?” The previous vice captain was still worried their plan would work correctly. Goddess Palutena nodded. Shadow was created instead of born. She was made with Palutena’s shadow. Seeing that’s where she got her name, she was brought into existence for one reason. Pit. Shadow was created for Pit’s happiness, and his only. Pit was happy yet wanted to be like a mortal being. He was so fascinated with these humans. “We have chosen a good girl for him. She makes a fine love interest for him. Do you not think so?” The previous vice captain said the first thing on his mind. “Yes, they look... Good together. They even fight like a married couples from the Over World. Yet what if something happens?” Goddess Palutena knew exactly what to say for this question. It seemed she knew he was going to ask this. “Shadow is part of me. She knows what to do.” It was a short reply, not answering much, but it would have to do for the time being. The previous vice captain then looked back at the crystal ball, still worrying about Pit’s happiness but happy he had someone to love for once. It would be good for him, they all agreed.
The two young angels were still sitting in the middle of the battle grounds. Shadow pushed more weight on Pit’s back. He didn’t react though. He just leaned forward because of her weight. Even so, what weight? Shadow was very light. Pit figured his body was just tired. “You did good today... rookie...” She then stood up. “I’m not a rookie ‘captain.’ I’ve been fighting ever since...” She didn’t finish her sentence, almost as if she didn’t know. Or she was hiding something from him. Pit smirked for while, going with the first option of her hesitation. “What? Can’t remember?” Shadow took her bow and whacked his head, irritated and annoyed. “What was that for?” He yelled at her. Even thought that bow was made out of cheap materials and was small, it sure had a mean hit to it. “Oh, I’m sorry captain!” Shadow yelled at him, sarcasm in her voice. She then walked away as Pit watched her. Pit didn’t feel like going after her. Too tired. He, still sitting, let himself collapse. His back then on the ground. The whole time after, Pit could only think of Shadow. He was having second thoughts about her but the ones that still remained were true.
The girl who changed his life… Chapter 2 Training Under Rain Drops - Spoiler:
Pit was walking down a small path. He was called to a meeting with Goddess Palutena. He was wondering what could have happened to call a meeting with such urgency. He then arrived where Goddess Palutena arranged the meeting. The battlegrounds. Another question was why at the battlegrounds? Plus it was raining. How could it rain when they were over the clouds? It didn’t matter though. It rained every once and a while if Goddess Palutena was upset or stressed. Pit was a little worried, not knowing what could have happened to his goddess. He started walking until suddenly, he saw someone training. It couldn’t have been Goddess Palutena. The person was girl, no doubt though. She had amazing foot work though. Pit couldn’t figure out who she was though, seeing as the rain made it dark and… Wet. She slashed through the training dummies while landing gracefully on the hard ground. She then started lunging forward, attacking Pit! He couldn’t see her face but he knew she was attacking. He quickly dodged the attack.
She pulled out her bow and shot several arrows at him. Pit was simultaneously was dodging the attacks while trying to figure out who she was. Pit was blinded by what beauty that was laid onto the attacks. What talent of attack combos. Suddenly, he the brought out his arrows and shot one at her. Not willing to actually hurt her, he felt liquid hit his cheek. He knew what the liquid was. A red substance. Blood. He automatically stopped moving. He just stood there. He had to find out who this was. She jumped back and held her shoulder. Pit could see where he had wounded her. Her blood, dripping everywhere as she kept attacking him. Pit then realised it. The sun shone down on her. She at first had a grass color hair as Goddess Palutena. Then it changed to a dark brown, to black. Her eyes changed from blue to red. Everything about her changed except for her clothes. She then suddenly collapsed while standing in the light. Pit quickly went to help her.
Shadow opened her eyes. It was the afternoon. She then looked at her side to see the pretty boy from a couple days ago. The captain. The perfect one for her. She thought at least. “So you’re awake… Sorry I shot you with that arrow…” Shadow was still watching him. She still hadn’t realised all the blood everywhere. Her blood. “Shot me? Oh right… Wait, why are you here?” Pit sighed. By the looks of it to Shadow, he had been sitting there by her side for a while. “I was waiting for you to wake up… Goddess Palutena wouldn’t approve of me leaving…” Shadow stood up, stretching her stiff muscles. “Well, see you pretty boy.” She then grabbed her bow, arrows and then flew off. Pit watched her fly away. He still had questions flying through his head. Was Shadow really her or someone else? Why did Goddess Palutena call a meeting at the battlegrounds and then not show up? Was there ever a time he could get Shadow off of his mind. The questions never got off his mind the whole day.
The girl who changed his life… Chapter 3 Challenged - Spoiler:
Pit was walking down the path once again. He had needed the training. No one knew if Medusa would be able to break through the seal or not so… Something then caught his eye. It was shadow, already training. ‘Oh no!’ He thought as he turned away and started walking. “What’s wrong Pit? Scared?” He then stopped. Scared? No way! “You should be the one scared. Scared of me!” Shadow smirked. Pit knew she wasn’t or would never be scared of him. He didn’t want her to ever be scared of him. He still liked her. Secretly though, she liked him as well, not telling him anything. Then, entering the training grounds, was Goddess Palutena. They both kneeling before her and stood up as she paused, finding specific vocabulary. After a moment, she spoke. “My angels… Today marks a new day for one more of you… His name is Kain. Treat him well you two.” With that, she left, leaving an angel about they’re age. He had brown hair, like Pit. Red eyes, like Shadow. Not to mention his look. Wasn’t very impressive with muscle to Pit. He was wrong though.
“So, Shadow, you’re no longer the rookie!” Pit laughed. Didn’t humour Shadow though. She waked him with her bow. “Ow!” Kain didn’t do anything. He was like Shadow on her first day. No response in words until several moments later. They thought his silence would last forever. They were wrong though. “Such immaturity… When will you kids ever learn to be… More…” He paused to find a good word for his little speech. “Classy?” “Well you can say all you want about pit but not me!” She launched an arrow at him. He dodged it with a leap. Pit watched at arrows clashed. It all stopped with one slash. His sword in her shoulder. Same shoulder that Pit shot the arrow at a couple of days ago. She clutched her shoulder. Blood was streaming down her arm yet, she still had that glow of determination in her eyes. Pit couldn’t take it anymore. He rushed in front of her before she attacked. “Enough Shadow… I’ll take over this fight.” “In you’re dreams!” As they were babbling on, Kain watched them. He then attacked. His sword, this time, hit Pit. Pits side. A fatal spot. Pit collapsed instantly after Kain’s blow. Holding his side, Shadow kneeled down beside him. “How dare you hurt our captain!” “Why do you care so much. If he was gone, you’d be captain.” She growled at him. “I don’t care about being captain! Because of you, Pit may die!!! You don’t belong here in the sky world… You should be in the underworld!”
After a while, Pit awoke. He felt… Okay. His side was healed and Kain was no where in sight. Since he was on his back, he turned over. He clutched his sheets. Wait… Those weren’t sheets. It was soft with blue ribbons… It was Shadow’s dress! He looked up to see Shadow looking down on him. “So, you’re awake…” He sat up. “Why would you stay there with me? Comforting me…” She sighed. “Because I care… You’re my friend.” She smiled. Pit stared at her, blushing. He never thought Shadow could be so… Nice. He leaned closer to her. “So… You stayed her because I’m your… Friend?” She nodded as he leaned closer. “I challenge you!” They both jumped. Kan was sitting on a tree branch, waiting for Pit to respond. “In a battle?” Pit asked. Kain gave Pit the ‘no duh’ stare as Pit smirked. “I’ll take you on… And win!” Shadow then stood up and flew off as Pit watched her. Upset, he stood up. He didn’t want her to leave.
The girl who changed his life… Chapter 4 The Day Before The Brawl - Spoiler:
Pit was at the training fields again, training for his upcoming brawl with Kain. “Man captain. You have some time off and all you do is train. Something wrong with you?” Pit stopped in his tracks and looked to find Shadow. His day was then lightened by seeing her. “Well I just know I was to beat that guy so… I need to become stronger!” He then started slashing the practice dummies once again. As he practiced, Shadow watched him. He was better than the day they met. Shadow closed her eyes, remembering that day. For her, it was a dream come true. Her first day…
Once she was gone, Pit stood up and folded his arms. She stayed the exact way she was before, not moving even a little. “Well, Mrs. Rude, we better start training.” Shadow pushed more weight on Pit’s back. He didn’t do anything though. She then walked away as Pit watched her.
After a long hour, Pit stopped training for a bit. Shadow was still there, watching him. “If you want to become stronger, you can’t take a break! You’ve only been training for an hour. Real warriors would be training all day!” He exchanged angry looks with her. “Well I’m not a real warrior then!” She then started walking and then flying off. Pit wasn’t going to loose her thought. Not this time! He flew after her. He grabbed her hand in mid air and pulled her to him and flew down to land. “What are you doing? Get your hands off of me!!!” He didn’t though. He just held her. She struggled, trying to become free but it was no use. She gave up. Just stood there with him… “You need to stay with me Shadow. I need you here with me…” She looked at him. “Oh Pit…” She then hugged him back. “I found out a prize for our little fight!” Pit instantly released Shadow once her heard this voice.
It was Kain, sitting on a tall tree. “Really now? What sort of prize would that be?” Kain then pointed to someone. Someone as in Shadow. “The lovely lady will be the prize. Who ever wins gets her heart. You must be even more exited to win, huh?” Shadow growled at him. “Don’t I get a say in this?” He shook his head as she was still looking at him, frustration in her eyes. By the looks of it, she was really angry. “I don’t want to be yours, nor Pit’s!” She then flew off, making sure Pit wouldn’t pull her back to land. Pit walked away from him, Kain following. “Stop following me!” Kain stopped in his tracks. “I know you like her. Its obvious.” Pit quickly turned around to rebuttal this statement but his lips wouldn’t move. He tried to talk but nothing came out. He then gave up on speaking and started walking again. It was Goddess Palutena watching them. Pit knew so. She enchanted his lips so they wouldn’t move. She was toying with them both. Yet even so, Pit still was loyal to his goddess. He kept walking. “You should talk to Goddess Palutena. Our Goddess might even change her mind if you do.” Pit thought for a moment. Change her mind? “What do you mean?” Kain chuckled. “You haven’t heard? Shadow’s scheduled for an execution today.”
Pit was shocked. What would she have done to be executed. He immediately raced down where she would have been torn out of everyone’s lives. The hole time running though, he thought. What would she have done? Was it something he did? More importantly, why would Kain say she was the prize of the fight when she wouldn’t even be there?

Chapter 5 Execution And The Truth - Spoiler:
“Are you ready?” Shadow nodded. A few more minutes and her wings would be torn off, making her human and being banned from Angel land. As if she was killed. With such act of an execution, she would probably be close to dying. Wings being torn off. It was a fatal move. She trembled in fear, hoping it would just happen. She didn’t want it to take so long. Then, Goddess Palutena called her in. It was a small, dark room. A glass wall was in the back where all would watch. As Shadow walked into the room, the door closed behind her, making it more dark. Her red eyes glowed in the darkness. Then she was hooked up to this machine. She leaned on it as her wings were attached to the one spot. They blindfolded her and shone a light on her body. They then started the machine.
Suddenly, Pit ran into the scene. “Stop!” They stopped the machine as Pit yelled. Pit took off her blindfold. Shadow gave him a specific ‘leave‘ look, yet too many tears were in her eyes for it to work. “Shadow… What did you do for this to come?” He looked at her straight in the eyes as she began to cry. “I didn’t want you to… I thought…” The former vice captain unhooked her from the big machine. She then leaned on Pit, his arms around her. “Goddess Palutena, please tell me. What did she do?” Goddess Palutena didn’t speak at first. Not until Shadow had stopped crying. “Nothing. She wanted to be mortal.” Pit then looked down at the ground. “Shadow… Why wouldn’t you tell me?” She stayed silent. “Shadow, speak.” Shadow looked at Goddess Palutena. She didn’t want to speak. “Shadow…” “I like mortal life. Its so peaceful. There are no worries at all…” Pit gave her an angry face. “What if Medusa became free again? What if she turned you into stone? What would you do then?!?” She then was the one giving him an angry face. “Don’t yell at me! If I want to live a normal life, I should be able to! I’m a shadow with no real meaning, why can’t I be mortal and actually have a reason to live?” She then ran out of the room. Shadow?
“Goddess Palutena… What did she mean by a shadow?” Goddess Palutena hesitated. It was time he knew though. “Its time you knew the truth Pit… Shadow was created, not born. Created from my shadow. We created Shadow for your happiness.” He couldn’t believe it. Even so, his happiness? Pit didn’t understand until Goddess Palutena spoke once again. “You always said you wanted to experience mortal feelings, right? That’s why Shadow was created. She wasn’t happy though. She wanted what you wanted. To be normal. That’s why she came to me. She asked if she could be executed so she could life in the Over World… I decided to give her what she wanted.” Pit lowered his head. This disappointed him. “Go to her Pit. Comfort her in her time still here…” Pit nodded and ran off, going to find her.
He raced down to a small field. It was quiet and sunny. That didn’t mean it would stay that way though. Its started to rain right when he stepped farther down the field. The ran dropped heavily on the ground. Still, there was the question why it rained over the clouds, but that wasn’t important then. He looked around trying to find Shadow. He found someone. Who? A girl. Green hair and hazel eyes. It was Shadow! It was strange seeing her look like Goddess Palutena but it was her, no doubt about it. She was crouching down on the ground, crying her eyes out. Pit sat down beside her, putting his arms around her. “Why are you here? What do you want?” She said between tears. “Because… I care. I always did… I don’t know why I never told you but.” She rubbed her eyes. “You really would care for me? I treat you horribly and you’d still be there for me? Why?” He held her even tighter. “I don’t know, It just comes naturally to me…” He smiled at her as the sun shone again. He then stood up and held out his hand to help her up. She took his hand and stood up. When she was up, he didn’t let go. He just stood there, gazing into her red eyes. “Pit,” He nodded, waiting for her to speak. “You can let go of my hand…” He then came back to his senses and let go. He then walked her back to the executions room, not saying a word nor exchanging looks.
The Girl Who Changed His Life…
Chapter 6 Saying Goodbye - Spoiler:
They looked at each other. Pit was firmly holding Shadow‘s hands. It was time for Shadow to be sent to the Over World. She leaned her head on his chest. She didn‘t want to leave but she couldn‘t turn back. He rested his head on top of hers. “Shadow…” Goddess Palutena waited inside the room. “Don’t forget me…” She then kissed him on his cheek. He held his hand over his cheek, madly blushing. She then was hooked back up to the machine. The big, bulky, cold machine. They started the machine. It was loud. They shone a light on her as she was blindfolded. “Clear!” Everyone walked out of the room and watched through the glass. She screamed and tugged at the machine, trying to become free yet trying to keep her strength inside herself so she wouldn’t break the big hunk of metal. Outside of the room, the others were talking, hoping she would be happy in the Over World. “Pit, how do you feel right now? Watching her suffer.“ Pit looked at Goddess Palutena. “H-horrible… She looks like her life is being drained every minute of her life. Now, because of this, its torture to even look at her…“ Her wings were finally ripped out of her back. She was automatically released from the machine. She dropped to the ground, not able to hold herself up. She just fell without knowing.
“Shadow!” Pit raced into the room, grabbing her hand. “Oh Shadow… I knew it would hurt you… I should have stopped you when I had the chance! I didn’t though… You’re in pain because of me.” She didn’t respond. She was in too much pain to talk. “I wish I could stay with you… That’s is… I’ll be executed as well. I’ve got to stay with you. Protect you.” He let go of her hand and walked over to Goddess Palutena. “I want to be executed as well. I won’t leave her! She’s to important to me! I can’t lose her now so execute me.” He kneeled before her. She just walked away, saying nothing which meant no. Tears ran down his face. “Pull the leaver…” They pulled a small stick to activate the drop. It would open up the floor and drop her. “No!” Pit started running towards her. Goddess Palutena raised her hand, signalling someone to grab him so he wouldn’t fall as well. Someone grabbed him, pulling him away. “No! Let me go, Shadow!!!” With that, she fell. Falling down to the Over World. Not screaming, she fell.
Why had he felt so sad and lonely when she watched her fall? He didn’t know. What he did know was he wanted to stay with her. He wanted to protect her. Save her from harm. Angels didn’t last long as mortals and all Pit wanted was to die with Shadow. “Pit, you may not be executed right now.” “I don’t care what you say! I want to be executed now! I can still get her back!!!” He pounded the floor with his fists, leaving cracks in the concrete. Goddess Palutena just stood, staring at him as he cried. His cries could be heard from across the Sky World. How could Goddess Palutena ignore his pain? No one knew. “Clear the area. Also bring Pit back home.” She then left them all. The crowd slowly left, one by one. “Captain Pit, you should go home now…” Pit sighed as he stood up. “What am I going to do now…?” “Well… You could find a new girl, I guess…” “How could I do that? Shadow was perfect. She was…” He paused to find proper words that fit in. “She was a rose. A tinted rose…”

Chapter 7 One Day Without You - Spoiler:
It was a cold day in the Over World. Leaves were falling from the trees. It was so cold, there were small, cold flakes of white falling from the clouds. Jesse didn’t know what they were but they were very beautiful. “Hey, Jesse!” Jesse looked around to find her friend, Jaylie. “Hey Jaylie.” Jesse sighed. “What are these flakes?” Jaylie chuckled. “They’re called snowflakes. None are completely alike, you know?” Jesse looked at her. Jesse had never seen them from where she was from. Really, Jesse didn’t remember where she was from. She had amnesia. She only remembered one thing. A boy calling out something. Jesse couldn’t tell what it was but it sounded like ‘Shadow‘. Then it was all a blur. Jaylie smiled at her. “Hey, have you remembered anything yet?” Jesse shook her head, meaning no. Jaylie looked back in the direction they were walking. She liked Jesse and found it very sad Jesse couldn’t remember anything. “Hey Jaylie,” She looked at her. “Do you know someone named Pit?” Jaylie looked confused at her. “P-Pit? No, never heard of him…” Jesse looked down at her feet, upset. “Was he someone from your past?” “I… I don’t remember…” They both kept walking to their school, neither of them speaking a word.
In the Sky World, Pit was just moping around on a sofa. There was nothing to do. He was training all the time because he knew Shadow would be there. He was strong enough. He got up and sighed. Shadow and him had many moments together. Even if they didn’t bring them very far, they were still something to remember. He had taken a picture of them the day before her execution. It wasn’t the best picture, seeing as she wasn’t looking at the camera, yelling at him but it was still something Pit treasured. He stared at the picture. His heart crumpled with the thought of Shadow being all alone in a place unknown to Angels. He rubbed his eyes. It was a sad day for him. It had only been one day and he missed Shadow more than he ever could. His memory of Shadow was fading though. Once someone is executed, others start forgetting more and more of that one person. Pit didn’t want to for get though.
Jaylie was over at Jesse’s house for the night. They were talking about different things while drinking cocoa from baby blue mugs. “So, did school help you remember anything yet?” “You’re just so curious about my condition, aren’t you?” Jesse laughed. “Well…” They both laughed this time. “So… Pit… Weird name but… Are you sure you don’t remember anything about him? Anything?” Jesse thought for a moment. There was some flashes of memory that lingered in her mind. “He had… Eyes that were as blue as the sky. I think he…” Her voice trailed off. Jaylie sighed. “Well think about it because wouldn’t it be so cool if he was your boyfriend, looking for you across the world? Then you’d remember everything and go racing back to him.” She sighed, dreaming of this little ‘event’. “That would never happen because I remember he was only like a brother to me. Only!” Jaylie laughed at this. “Well, lets get some sleep. Night.” Jaylie placed her mug beside her and snuggled into her pillow. Jesse put hers on a coffee table and then lied still, waiting for Jaylie to fall asleep.
Later that night, Jesse was still wide awake. She stood up and walked over to the balcony. She leaned on the railings, looking up at the stars. It was cold but she didn’t mind. It was actually nice for her. Her mind wandered away, trying to remember more about her past. After a long while, she went back to bed. She slept fitfully that night as well. Jesse, or Shadow, remembered everything…

Chapter 8 One Week Visit
- Spoiler:
Pit was waiting to see Goddess Palutena. He was longing to see Shadow just a day. Even so, it was torture to him. He was just hoping it was torture for her as well. “Pit, you may speak to me now.” Pit looked up at her. “My Goddess… I would like to visit the Over World. As a mortal being.” Goddess Palutena didn’t show any shock in her eyes. It seemed as thought she knew this would happen. “You shall have one week starting today. Get ready to fly down to the Over World.” Pit’s eyes shone. He was going to a place he always wanted to go. Not to mention he was going to see someone he loved. He raced to a room. There were two doors. One to go down to the Over world being an angel, and one that brought you there as a mortal. It was pretty weird though. Why did they even have the machine to execute people instead of making them jump out of these doors? Either way, it didn’t matter. He opened the door, seeing the sky through it. He then stood away from it, flapped his wings, and fell.
Jesse was looking out on her balcony once again. She was thinking of things that had happened while brushing her long brown. Her life in the Sky World and Over World. She then heard a loud splash, not to mention saw it as well. It came from the lake near her house. Jesse ran down to the lake, seeing what had just happened. She stood, looking out onto the surface of the lake, waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, someone rose from the water. A boy as well. He had black hair, and from the looks of it, grey eyes. Jesse had good eyesight. “Must have launched myself over water…” He looked around for shore. He then spotted Jesse, watching him. He quickly swam over. He then reached shore and looked up at her. “Hey who are-” He paused. She looked very familiar. Brown hair and hazel eyes. Pit had never seen this but her facial expression was still the same as… As… Shadow! “Shadow, its you! Its really you!!!” She looked at him. “Hello Pit. Um… Would you mind calling me Jesse? I go by that now.” Pit sighed. “Okay um… Jesse, you look great. I mean with the hair and stuff… Different colors…” This was true. Her hair used to be black with her red eyes. Now her hair was brown with hazel eyes. Different but she would always be pretty to Pit. “Well, you’re one to talk, look at you. Pit hesitated but looked down at his reflection. He was different all right. “I guess becoming mortal changes our appearance.” Jesse nodded. “Hey, Jesse!” Someone called out to her. She turned around to see Jaylie running towards her. “Hey, who’s this? Friend? Relative? Boyfriend?” Jesse blushed. “No, he’s just a friend.”
They spent the whole day together, Jaylie and Pit getting to know each other with Shadow hanging around. “So, imagine if Jesse had cancer, then you’d stay with her and then she’d dye and you’d be so sad.” She went on, dreaming about this. “Pay no attention to it, you’ll get used to her doing this…” Jesse whispered in Pit’s ear. He nodded. “No! She had cancer and then you decided to kiss her? Yeah, and when you do, you kiss the life out of her!” Her eyes glimmered. Jaylie was caught up in the dreams of Jesse’s life once again. “Jaylie, calm down and please. We’ll never be a couple. Pit’s more of a brother to me.” Jaylie frowned. “Aw!!! But Jesse, its fun to dream!” This was true but Jesse didn’t think it was so fun for people to dream about her life and not theirs.
