Sunshine [Genna and Dylan]

Recently Dylan had found joy in coming to the beach. Summer was here and even if she didn't have her swimsuit she still enjoyed the lively behavior of the people her. She waded in the water where only her ankles were getting splashed occasionally with the steady small waves that rippled across the water. The sun was shining and she couldn't be happier. Life was at it's best at the moment, she was going to get married to the man she loved and she even got to start her own resturant. Sometimes it felt she was living a dream, but it was so real. Never would she imagined she'd be this lucky.

Genna felt great today. She had no errands to run, her shop was closed for the day, and she decided to go to Mineral Town beach as a treat for herself. Plus it was summer which was great to go to the beach. On her way to the beach she tied her hair in a ponytail to let the cool breeze touch the back of her neck. When she got to the beach she set her towel, applied sunscreen, and headed for the water. Soon she saw Dylan.

"Hey there, Dylan" Genna greeted.


She looked elated, more elated than Genna.

Dylan was humming a happy tune when she heard Genna call her name, cheerfully she turned around to notice that she was all prepared for the beach. "Hello Genna," she said with a ring in her voice. She took a few steps to her friend and she was grinning widely. "It's not raining this time," she joked recalling their previous encounter on Waffle Island. "The weather is actually pretty good out unlike last time."

"It's funny, next time we meet it'll raining. I'm pretty sure of it" Genna laughed. Pretty soon it'll be a pattern, she laughed again just thinking about it. She look out to the ocean. The water was a beautiful shade of blue, and the tides were calm.

"Dylan, anything happened lately?" Genna said trying to start a conversation. She was drawing something until a tide came and washed it away. Soon a sand crab came up and tickled Genna's finger, she giggled.

"That'd be ironic," Dylan said giggling. "Hopefully that won't happen though, rain is good and stuff, but I love the sun." Who in their right mind didn't like the sun afterall? So many things could be done, the possibilities were endless.

"Well, umm...," Dylan said getting all shy and red. Her fingers started to fidget and she looked down for a second. "I'm engaged." She the smiled quietly still looking at the ground. Only a day had passed, so she still had trouble believing it herself, but it was true. There was a blue feather and Ari was so clever thinking of a way to propose to her. Love was clearly a magical thing.

Engaged?

"Really? I'm so happy for you!" Genna said. Hopefully, one day she'll receive a blue feather from a man she loved. But she didn't like anyone yet. Well there's plenty of fish in the sea. Soon the sand crab left and burrowed it's way to it's home under the sand. Genna smiled and looked at the ocean.

Genna was sitting on the sand until a wave got her all wet. She cough out water and soon she was laughing "That was fun, and refreshing!" Genna smiled at Dylan.

"Thanks," Dylan said still acting shy. It felt weird telling people she was now going to be married, but it felt good at the same time. Hopefully Genna would come to the wedding, she'd like that a whole lot. A date hadn't been decided yet, but she and Ari were going to talk about that soon.

A big wave seemed to swallow Genna whole, but then it left Genna completely soaked. Luckly only the end of Dylan's skirt had been dampened by the merciless wave. "I should've brought my swimsuit," Dylan said missing out on all the fun Genna was having. She made a mental not not to forget it again--well, unless it wasn't summer. "Then I could've gotten a little wet like you."

Genna didn't have another swimsuit. But maybe next time Dylan would remember. "Well you kinda taste a lot of sea salt afterwards, and smell like sea salt. Gotta take a shower when I get home" Genna said. After the wave a came, there was a whole city of sand crabs. she picked one up and it crawled up her arm.

"These things make you so ticklish! ahahaha~" Genna said laughing.

"Really?" Dylan questioned as she looked at all the crabs that got washed ashore. The ones that Genna didn't pick up were scurrying around trying to find more shelter before the next wave hit. Part of her had difficulties believing Genna that they were capable of tickling someone, but she guessed it had to be true since she was laughing so much. "I would never have guessed you can be tickled by a crab," she said thinking about grabbing one to see if it'd tickle herself. She ended up deciding against it though.

Noticing Dylan didn't go for picking one up and see for herself that the crabs can tickle you, Genna let one go to let the sand crab go to it's orginal home. "Well sand crabs are small and i guess their legs can make you ticklish." Genna tried to explain.

The waves only caught her legs now. To her it was refreshing since it was hot today. Summer was always hot and beaches were popular.

"Where I used to live, we lived so far away from a beach." Genna said looking at the sky.
