Hurricanes? {reserved}

[Group Plot. Accepting no more characters. Reserved for Michael, Ray, Gabriel, Adamaris, Kazumi, and Molly]

Rain, the first rain of the year. It didn’t look bad. Since he had a lot of work to do. Michael was in his comfy office, working on paperwork while enjoying a cup of coffee. It seemed cold outside, plus winter was starting to calm down and turn into spring. That was nice. But he liked summer better.

“Dr. Greer?” a nurse asked. Michael swirled his chair towards the nurse. “Why don’t you take a break? There’s no patients that need you’re help today.” She said smiling at the surgeon. Well, he needed an umbrella which he had when he was on his way to work from the Inn. “Oh thank you, just call me when you need my help,” He said grinning at the reward. The nurse nodded and closed the door to his office after he left.

The outdoors, he needed to stay inside somewhere for now. The Inn was the closest to where he was. Might as well stay there until his break his over. He carefully opened the door to see if Ruby wasn’t running any errands. Well there she was standing behind the counter as always. The surgeon gave himself a seat to sit on.

Light rainstorm? Ha! It was pouring. Oh well, sometimes the weather was wrong. But the weather channel was never wrong…. This got him suspicious.

Well maybe it was just one mistake. No big deal. Nothing bad was going to happen today or tomorrow or even the next day.

Adamaris walked out of her Greenery, dressed in a completely new attire: A pink halter top and brown shorts. She was wearing flip-flops too... The only thing she had for protection, against the supposedly, "Light drizzle", was a miniature umbrella, though she still had her sword. Holding the umbrella above her head, she begins to walk at a brisk pace, the umbrella preventing her hair from being soaked. "Tropical Temperatures", huh? Yeah, it might be warm, but this water was freezing. Her feet became even more soaked as the brisk rain increased, much to her annoyance.

She heard distant thunder, shivering, it seemed the warmth was being sapped by the rain. Rushing towards the nearest building, the Inn, for cover, she bursts through the door, situating herself closest to the heater, to dry off her wet feet. She noticed a relatively familiar face. "Hey..." she murmurs, not really knowing his name.

She began to wonder what was going to happen, the Weather had been horribly wrong. Thanks to her umbrella, she wasn't too drenched, but Adamaris probably got the worst case scenario, with her exposed feet. Feeling the warmth come off the mechanism made Adamaris a bit more cheery, although not to much. She continued to wait, trying to dry herself off.

Not that Ray paid too much attention to the weather reports, but he came to Forget-Me-Not Valley assuming that it was going to have the same cloudy weather in Mineral Town. He only brought a light back pack with him that contained some small belongings in case he was planning on staying the night. Once it started with a light rain early in the morning, Ray merely took shelter under the pavilion at the beach. There was just something about that place that made him feel safe and comfortable, and it was funny how he chose to live in Mineral Town instead.

Once the rain started to kick up a little, with the wind blowing eerily above him, he was starting to feel a little jittery with the wind carrying the rain all over him. Even under shelter, he was still getting wet! He didn’t have an umbrella, but he had the next best thing…it was tiny, it was portable, and it looked exactly like a garbage bag. Why yes! It was a poncho! He slipped it right over his body and lowered the hood to protect his head, and the second he heard thunder he didn’t feel so comfortable at the beach anymore.

He snatched his backpack off of the ground and made a run for it through the swamp, seeing the closest “building” nearby was Gustafa’s tent ready to be blown away, he started to head for the brick buildings. Sure, it was farther, and he was probably gonna get his pants completely soaked from the puddles…but it was safe and warm. That’s the only thing that mattered, right? Even under the shelter at the inn, the wind blew the rain everywhere, splashing his face once more. Opening the door, the wind hollered behind him as he shut the door in a hurry, letting the water drip around him. He sniffled a little, praying he didn’t catch a cold as he sat in the nearest wooden chair, reaching for a towel in his backpack and wrapping it around him. It was a little damp, but it was a lot drier than he was at the moment.

The storm was getting worse by the minute, he really hoped it wouldn't turn out to something big. The towns here were all peaceful. The only storm he has been in here so far was a thunderstorm. Which wasn't so bad, but this was kinda worse than the thunderstorm he had been in during the fall.

The surgeon heard a door burst open. Dramatic entrance. Turns out, it was the woman he saw at the beach a few weeks ago. He did catch her name by his friend, Gabriel, but if he greeted her by her name, she would think he was a stalker of some sort. But turns out she just said a simple greeting.

"Hello, Have I seen you before?"

The surgeon asked. Of course he had seen her before but maybe it was her twin sister or something. Oh well.

Soon another person bursted through the doors. Whats up with the dramatic entrances these days? But the wind sounded strong when he tried to close it in a hurry. Well turns out it was Ray.

"Oh hey there, Ray."

He greeted. He didn't like this weather one bit, it was getting really strong.

Hm? Had someone called his name? Thunder and lightning clashed outdoors, rattling the hearts of some of the storm-phobic residents in the inn. Ray wasn’t one of them, but he did have to admit that his ear drums were bouncing up and down from each crackle of electricity. He got a good look at the people around him, noticing Ruby and Tim at the desk, while Michael was sitting in a nearby seat. Huh, he was in such a hurry to get to shelter that he didn’t even notice him.

”Hey Michael. It’s pretty insane out there, huh?” He replied a bit wearily to break the unnerving silence in the room. A lot of people looked pretty miserable because of the weather, and he didn’t blame them one bit. There was a woman near the heater and he felt a bit envious that she got most of the warmth. He didn’t dare say anything though, because she looked like she had it a lot rougher than he did.

”First big storm I’ve seen since being here, at least. Hope it isn’t like this often.” He shivered under his towel, pulling it tighter around his shoulders. Come to think of it, when he was talking to the Mayor he did seem a little vague when he asked him about the typical weather around these parts…

Adamaris nodded; placing her umbrella in her pocket book. "I'm Adamaris, and you are?" she asks, removing herself from beside the heater. She walks over, and plops herself down on the chair between the two men's own. "So..." she says, in an attempt to start up a conversation. "Your name's Ray?" she asks, turning to the man who had been greeted formally.

"I'm Adamaris," she says, introducing herself to him as well. The girl flicks her hair behind her ears, and smiles lightly. She pulled her large sword off her back, and slammed it down on the table, it making a loud "CLANG". "Much better," she says truthfully, rubbing her frigid shoulders. "What happened to the light drizzle? It said high temperatures," she grumbled; shuffling her feet.

Ray perked up when he heard the young woman speak to him, catching him a little off guard. He had to keep reminding himself that the people here were a lot friendlier than what he was used to back at home. Well it was a good thing she picked up on his name so fast; saved him the trouble of introducing himself. Michael and this Adamaris girl seemed to have known each other from somewhere, but they appeared as uncomfortable and out of place in the conversation as he felt.

What really surprised him though was when a freaking sword went with a wild “CLANG” to the ground, instantly catching his attention. What the heck was she doing carrying something that dangerous around? And heavy, for starters. She didn’t look strong at first appearance, but he was ready to put doubt to that illusion.

”Nice to meet’cha.” He nodded towards her after she told him her name, and he just managed to catch what she said.

”Ah? I came here expecting that the weather would be like the Mineral Town weather…but it looks like staying at Mineral Town would’ve been a better plan for the day.” He forced a chuckle and bent his head down a little to appreciate the warmth in the room.

Gabriel had never been good at predicting the weather so he relied on what it said in the newspaper. Supposedly it was going to rain a little bit, but apparrantly that was false. He was thinking of heading back home when it started to pour, but the thunder and lightning made him seek the shelter provided by the inn. He tried to open the door slowly, but the wind pushed it fast practically dragging him inside with it. He pushed the door shut and stood there keeping it in place untill he heard the small click doors made when they shut.

"Why does this always happen to me?" he said to no one, just himself. He was soaked from head to toe and he felt like his hair was holding him down. He twisted it in attempt to make his hair lighter and then un-did the ponytail of his and shook his head like a dog. Then he tied his hair back once again. He looked around and saw Micheal and some new guy as long as Adamaris. If she wasn't here he'd probably would have taken off his shirt.

"Hey guys," he said.

Adamaris seemed to be her, "I'm Dr. Michael Greer but just call me Michael," He said. He would rather be called Doctor at a hospital not outside of the hospital. Mostly, people did that which he liked.

Soon Gabriel was pushed inside here, poor guy always getting into trouble. He was wondering how this would happen, it was supposed to be a light rainstorm not a heavy one with thunderstorms. This really got him suspicious. He was hoping no one was hurt yet in this storm.

"Hey Gabriel, storm get cha?"

He asked. Of course it did. It hit everyone. But soon he saw Adamaris put her sword down which made him jump a little. He didn't like suprising noises like that.

"Nice to meet you, Michael,"

"Hey, Gabe," Adamaris says, looking at the poor doctor soaked head to toe; who had just entered the Inn. "Looks like you got the worse of it," she said, giggling a bit. "Here, I'll go get some towels," Adamaris removed herself from her chair, and after a quick conversation with Ruby, she followed her into a storage room, Adamaris returning with enough towels for everybody, much more than enough actually; while Ruby emerged, carrying a lot more than Adamaris; which she plopped down for the other people.

Adamaris stumbled over to the others, placing the towels on the counter. Taking one, she began to dry off her hair and feet, the most drenched parts of her. "Must be lucky for me, that I had an umbrella in here," she said, indicating to her "Large Purse of Wonders".

"Funny Micheal, I applause your pure comical genius," he said sarcastically.

Adamaris giggled at him which made him annoyed even more, but she decided to be helpful and got towels for everyone. He walked over and grabbed one and tried to dry off his arms and head. The clothes would have to dry off natural for fabric tended to hold in water well. He did slip off his shoes and he was surprised that his socks were still dry. "Thanks Adamaris," he said. He was amazed with the bag she carried. Did women always carry so many things in their purses? He'd rather stay with his thin leather wallet that fit into his back pants pocket perfectly.

Kindly, Adamaris got towels for everyone. His red hair looked dark brown. He personally thought that he looked much better in dark brown. Oh well. He walked over and grabbed a towel rubbing his hair to get out all the water in his hair. His hands, and legs weren't that wet. Since they were covered in his out along with his doctor's coat he forgot to take off. Oh well, it will dry naturally.

He looked at the brunette woman's purse. That thing was huge. How can woman live with those things carrying them everywhere? He usually got his wallet and left. That's it.

"Why thank you, Gabriel,"

He answered back chuckling a bit. He wasn't a funny person himself, he wasn't trying to be but he liked answering back.

Even though Ray already had a towel, it wasn’t that dry anymore. Scratch that—it was soaking wet. Water was still being dripped onto the floor, and he was starting to get worried about it ruining the wooden polish. It looked like he was going to need to squeeze the drops out in a sink or something. He gratefully took one of the fresh, white towels from Adamaris, thanking her, and quickly hopped upstairs so he could at least properly dry this thing. Shaking his poncho dry either wasn’t too bad of an idea either. He finished up in the upstairs bathroom and came down a little bit drier than usual with his backpack slung over his shoulder. All of his belongings were stuffed in there except for the inn’s towel, which he had hung over his arm.

As he came down the stairs it seemed like the air was a little bit lighter, and he assumed that had something to do with the new man’s appearance. He nodded a greeting to this ‘Gabe’ fellow and sat himself back down, his eyes catching the storm’s appearance growing worse and worse through the window.

”…using an umbrella out there right now sounds like a bad idea.” He sighed, referring to the thunder and lightning. It sure was ugly, and it was on the borderline for dangerous as well. He wasn’t too worried about it though, since no one else looked like they were concerned. Just annoyed that the weather channel was wrong. ”Isn’t there a tv or something? Maybe they can track the storm, or tell us how soon it’ll end.” He asked, hoping he didn’t make a stupid question. If there was a tv in one of the upstairs rooms, it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at it.

Adamaris nodded. "No trouble at all," she laughs; scratching the back of her head. It was felt weird to be thanked- All she had done was get some towels. Reaching into her purse, she pulled out a purse, and opened it up, before beginning to fish through it. Pulling out a small wallet, she pulls out several gold coins. "Anyone want something?" she asks; in the mood for some nonalcoholic cider; things with alcohol in it did strange things to her.

Molly burst into the Inn door hoping to see the smexy doctor. She walked up to the counter. "Is Michael the smexy dopctor in?" Molly asked. The receptionest kinda looked suprised then pointed over in his derection. Molly skipped over to him and hugged him. "Hello smexy thang1" Molly laughed.

((Molly were at the Inn))

Michael was surprised by how Molly greeted. Great now she was going to embarass him in front of everybody. "Will snap out of it, Molly?" He asked. He looked to Gabriel, remembering the chat they had yesterday, mouthing the words 'this is what I mean by sexual harassment' . He pulled away from the hug and looked at Ray who suggested turning on a TV.

"Well, electricity is still working surprisingly. So yea," He explained. He looked for a remote of some sort and found one on the counter where Ruby usually sat behind. He pushed the red button which meant power. The TV quality wasn't good. It would be fuzzy all the time. But then he saw something suspicious. He took a couple steps forward to the TV.

"Hey guys, did you see that white swirly thing near where we live?" He said still focusing on the TV. The words were hard to hear, it would be interupted by the fuzzy noise.

Molly nodded. "Yah I did!" she kinda laughed. "So how bad is it?" Molly kinda laughed as one of her cats tickled up against ehr feet. She gently knudged it. "so why you want me to quit huh smexy?" she said a little sad looking. She always did this to male humans when they wouldnt be nice or did somthing she didnt like or she wanted somthing but didnt have money. She looked at him with puppy eyes then hugged him. She looked at her cats then snuck a sly little smile.

Oh god, puppy eyes? He could never stand those for some reason. His big sister always did that to him. Molly was not getting what he was saying. Okay, he didn't mind the hugging but that 's' word creeped him out a bit. Actually a lot. She had no clue. He looked at her with no expression. He flicked her on the forehead, "Sexual harassing me, quit it," he said. He did had to be a little stern towards his patients sometimes to tell him what's wrong or what happened. It usually came in handy. He survived those puppy dog eyes. Thank goodness.

"It looks kinda bad by the looks of it. Lets hope its not serious," He said. He just hoped it would calm down soon like other storms. There was no really bad storms by what the mayor told him. But he had a look on his face which gave the surgeon a little suspiciousness.

Molly flinched as she was flicked on the forehead. "Humph!" she kinda growled a bit then sat down. "OK fine! SMEXY is not your word...how about hotty or cutie...oohooh!!! or honey bunches of michael!!!" She laughed gripping her hands together then jumping up with a big smile. "I will call you Honey bunches of Michael!" She laughed some more then hugged him again.

For a second it worked then she came up with more words. He slapped his forehead. Can someone just make her snap out of it? Her hugs were so tight, he couldn't breathe. Gah, he was going to die just because of a hug. He was getting pretty annoyed by this woman. Also by the fact that she was a pediatrician. If she ever became his assistant, he would love to lock himself up.

He could here the wind getting harsh pretty badly. It sounded like someone screaming.

"Is there anyone named Dr. Michael Greer in here?"

The receptionist asked the group of people trying to get dry. He pulled away from Molly's hug and went towards the receptionist. "That would be me," He said. The receptionist handed him the phone.

"Hello?,"

"Dr-eer-! Ther-s a pa-ent -n tro-le c-me- h-ry!,"

Michael couldn't understand a single thing what the nurse was saying through the phone. But it did sound like "Dr. Greer! There's a patient in trouble! Come hurry!,". Then he put the phone right down and looked at everyone.

"There's someone hurt, I'm going out there,"

He announced to everyone. He knew that one of the people would say he was crazy. But it was his job to save lives. He didn't care about this weather. He was going to make a run for it.

((Michael will be back. I'm just waiting for one more person to post then my next post, the hurricane will start 8D))

Molly jumped up. "I`ll come too!" molly looked at him with a stern and serious look and talked with a serious voice. "There is some one out there hurt you say...Im also a doctor and you know this...and Im more athltic then you so I can get there faster!" she glared her emotion and attitude totaly changing. She stepped pu to the door. "Plus you cant go it alone." She said looking out the window.

Michael looked at her a little sternly. "No, you're staying here. I don't want anybody else getting hurt," He explained. Plus he didn't want to be called by the new word again.

He tried to open the door until he finally got it open and slammed it shut. It was practically impossible to open it again. He didn't want her following her. The wind was harsh, it was almost impossible to walk. He had to make baby steps and just focus on standing. So he just kept going to the direction of the hospital, slowly. Until he was blown back and fell on the ground.

"Ngh!"

He got up again, it almost impossible again to go now. Stupid weather report. But he saw a body of some sort lying down. It didn't reconize him at all.

"Hey can you hear me?" The surgeon yelled out.

Was this the patient? No the actual patient was at the hospital. She looked unconcious. It was hard to tell what condition she was in since the rain was blocking and the wind kept his hair covering his face.

Molly tackled the door and fell outside. "No stay in!" she hollered at her cats. they stepped back in. Then the wind blew the door shut. She took fast steps through the wind with her left arm covering her face. She went up to the hospital when she saw Michael. "Michael!" She yelled over the wind. She ran over to him when she tripped. she looked over at what he was looking at.
Luckily she had her hair in a braidf so she could se the human body laying on the ground. "...as doctors...right now we cant have any lovey doveyness!" She kinda grew grim. "We have to behave as doctors...and we have to help those in need...and this perosn is in need Michael....Michael...fellow doctor...we have to help that person!" Molly yelled.

MOOD CHANGE.

Molly stood up. She switched into her serious non joking humorless side.
She started to step towards the body pushing against the wind. She had both arms blocking the wind from hitting her. She took a few more steps forward. Then she knelt down next to the body and started to look back at Michael.

((yah she has mood changes...and when ever its a dyer time of need...or when she has to doctor somone she changes into her serious side. o.o))

Gabriel couldn't help but giggle a bit when he saw how Molly called him 'smexy.' After the fourth time it did lose it's humor and he sympathized with his friend. He must have it tough, especially if she looked for him often like this. The next thing he knew Micheal got a call, probably a patient because the look on his face turned into determination. If the weather was normal he'd love to go and watch him in action since Micheal's skills were very good, but he better stay cause of the storm.

Molly tried to follow him, but Micheal insisted that she stayed. After he left she seemed to have a fit and tried going out for him in the weather. In Gabriel's mind she really was an idiot. First the swimming thing and then now this--seriously, she needed to grow up or something.

"Promise me you won't act like her?" Gabriel said to Adamaris.

When the familiar girl ran in with her cats, Ray visibly froze. He didn't feel comfortable being so close to her, but what really got to him was when she leapt right over to Michael and called him 'smexy'. Instantly the connection was made, and was reconfirmed when he caught him mouthing words to the shaggy looking man. He would've laughed if he wasn't so intimidated by the doctor-deemed 'insane patient'. 

He took special note of the white cloud on the TV screen, but before his suspicions could be confirmed an emergency called up, creating some kind  of a stir between the group. The shaggy guy seemed to take it as some kind of amusement, which bugged him. 

"...wow." He snickered at Gabe's comment to Adamaris, only because he completely agreed with that statement.  "I think one of her kind around here is my limit too." He added while Michael and Molly were still out of the room.
