Shopping is not my thing.

Arden was visibly flustered, even as she entered the Tailor's Shop. "What am I doing in here?" she muttered to herself, ducking her head so no one saw her. She passionately hated to shop. She didn't see the point of standing around in a store, blaring Muzak in her ears, flipping through racks of clothes that didn't fit her right.

But, there she was. If someone had asked her why she was there, she wouldn't have been able to give them an explanation. Her feet had just led her into the store. Maybe it was curiousity. Maybe it was insanity.

"Ah... my precious cloak...stupid branch." She said, but then gasped as she realized what she just said. Habitually she looked around but saw no one there. She continued walking as she got to the Tailor shop. Gakki grimaced as she walked into the store, holding her sleeve with a big tore on it, but blocking her was a girl. Gakki stood at 6'0 looking down at the girl. "Um..." she said.

Arden noticed the shadow of the passerby before she actually saw her. Turning around slowly, she startled. "Uh, hi there," she stammered, holding a dress dumbly in her hands. The soft fabric did nothing to stop the blood from rising to her face. Stuttering over her words, she babbled, "I haven't seen you around here before, you must be new. I'm Arden. I don't shop that much so I really dont' have a clue what I'm doing. This dress is absolutely terrible, though...ugh! I have no fashion sense whatsoever. My sister would probably love this little tailor shop, but I really don't know what I'm supposed to do, and..." Finally, she allowed her voice to trail off. Mentally, she slapped her forehead, cursing her stupidity and social awkwardness.

The girl's face turned red as she continued talking for a long time. At last she finished and Gakki smiled but then turned into a long chuckle. "My you talk alot." She blushed as she caught what she was saying. "Ah, I'm sorry" quickly covering her mouth with her sleeve, hiding a smile. "Arden is a pretty name..." Gakki rested her other hand on the dress as she examined it.

Startled into a smile, Arden rubbed the back of her neck with her hand. "T-thank you," she said, still feeling a bit-shy wasn't the word- clumsy. "That's, uh, a nice shirt you're wearing, Ms...?" She trailed off again, realizing that she didn't know the girl's name, and that the shirt had a huge hole in it. I just keep digging my own grave, here. She half-smiled awkwardly, and then stared down at her feet. "S-sorry. I'm not very good with meeting new people," she apologized sadly.

Gakki looked down at her cloak revealing a shirt with an eccentric design. "Ah, thank you very much Ms.Arden. You can call me Gakki" She smiled. Gakki chuckled again, "I am too not good in meeting new people." She took out her fan and started fanning herself while the silence stretched out.

Uncomfortably, Arden shifted her weight from foot to foot. "Um, nice to meet you, Gakki," she said. Her face was still red, even as silence filled the normally-noisy tailor shop. "Um, where are you from?" she finally asked, trying to break the silence. She hated awkward pauses in conversation; they made her feel incredibly uncomfortable. "Myself, I'm from the city...I don't like the city one little bit. It's so much better here."

Gakki dropped her fan when she flinched and took a step back, colliding with the door when Arden asked where she was from. She recovered quickly avoiding contact with the girl as she said "Somewhere... faraway." Gakki hastily picked up her fan still avoiding contact. "Its... getting quite hot in here isn't it?" She muttered fanning herself again. She didn't want anyone knowing where she was from in case someone found of her secret."Ah, I don't like cites either, polluted air..." she said and then muttered to herself "plus it gets my cloak dirty."
