I Wish You Knew ~poem~

I've never written a poem until now, so I hope I do okay!



I wish you knew,
I wish you cared,
I wish you knew all the things that are there--
hidden inside me like a long lost fear,
I wish you knew how I felt, my dear.

I've tried to tell you, I've tried to hide,
but without you it's an unbearable ride.
My fears, my love, my romantic need
Are hidden in you, oh please, dear, please

Please give me a chance, let me show you my love
showered down upon you from above.
This may sound cliche and you may not care,
but all my feelings for you are there.

They are real and alive and they haunt my soul,
make me pine away for you until I am nothing...

So please dear, please! Please give me your hand
give me a chance, I'll prove to you that I can--
I can be the person you've always dreamed of,
never let you go and hold you up

I'll look into your eyes, your deep blue eyes
and I will swear that I love you...

I wish you knew, my dear, my dear,
I wish you knew my greatest love,
Loosing you, I wish you knew, is my greatest fear

No, i dont' think it was bad, it was good for your first poem. You've only written one? hmm you have a good sense of the art and with practice i think, you'll become a very talented poet. But in all other means, it was beautiful and i can relate to the feeling. good job.

Aww, thank you! Yes, this is my first poem ever--nothing compared to your mad-poet skillz though. I just wrote it because I really really like this guy who knows I exsist and his friends say he likes me, but he says he just wants to be friends. I don't know, it's confusing... Haha but thanks again!

Well, thank you but i dont think i'm that great of a poet. I mean yes they are good but still i could improve. I know what that situation is like, trust me, it passes. Time can heal all wounds. So keep writing and smile. Even if its only once in a while.
