She was so young, and no matter how many times she asked and begged to know, the question was always ignored

She shot out of bed and ran as fast as her small, legs could take her. she flung open her parents' door and hopped up and down on their bed. "It's Christmas! it's Christmas!" she said excitedly. Her long brown curls bounced up and down as she did. "MAMA! PAPPA! GET UP! IT'S CHRISTMAS!" Cindy, her mother, sat up and tierdly rubbed her eyes. "Sweety," she started. "why don't you go and sleep soem more for a while." she said werily. "no mama!" hope said excitedly. "we need to go see what santa brought!" Dan Jameson sat up laughing tierdly. "ya!" hope said sprining up and bolting downstairs. "honey-" Cindy was about to protest, but dan inturupted her. "common, it's christmas! and she's not going to stay little forever." Cindy opend her mouth to protest, but then smiled in defete. "i sware, you two are going to be the death of me." she said jokingly. Then, they both went downstairs to tend to their eger daughter.
That was the last christmas they had as a full family. Cindy had announced that day she was pregnent. And nine months later, after hope's 6th birthday, she gave birth to a healthy son.
