Tap tap tap tap.
Across the rooftops did the Freerunner dash, finding her own way around the bustling Shopping Plaza, over and around the cluster of shops and Diners. All she could hear was her own heart beat accelerating to match the wild pace of her feet, and all that mattered was the wind rushing through her hair.
It was a reasonably hot day. Mia had planned to train Barefoot that day, but she was beginning to regret it. Every step on the steaming hot rooftops burned her feet; but it simply encouraged her to go faster.
"Ow, ow, ow..." She whispered, "Hot-hot-hot!"
Tap tap tap tap.
Hopefully, none of the Shop Owners below would hear the tapping of her feet on their roof.
But, she wasn't very subtle. After all, she was running across the Rooftops.
